West Side Story [2009 Broadway Revival Cast - B&N Exclusive Version]#1

B&N will have an exclusive version! I'm assuming with the english versions of "I feel Pretty" and "A Boy Like That." But their website says this.

Don't miss the Barnes & Noble Exclusive edition of the album, which includes a bonus cut of "I Feel Pretty" sung in Spanish.

Hopefully that's a mistake, and it will be the 2 english tracks.

Is it a sure thing that they recorded the English version of both tracks? I'd love to hear Karen Olivo's "A Boy Like That" in English.

Yes, it's a sure thing. They posted that they were recording the english tracks on Twitter, the day of recording.

I'm pretty sure they mixed it up and the B&N exclusive is the English version of I Feel Pretty.

Yeah, but they recorded A Boy Like That in English too. Hopefully that will be on it.

That's pretty fantastic. I hope it turns up in some form or another, I'm guessing they'll be either in the B&N version or on iTunes. Olivo will probably be the best recorded Anita since Chita Rivera, I can't stand any of the Anitas in the many WEST SIDE STORY recordings (I don't count the soundtrack since that is a combination of Betty Wand and Rita Moreno and since "America" is not as Anita-centered as it is in the stage version of the score).

I wish they would have recorded the movie duet version of "Somewhere" as a bonus track. Just because I adore it.

UPDATE:

The B&N edition will have 3 bonus tracks:

17 I Feel Pretty (English) B&N Exclusive Bonus Track
18 Somewhere (Instrumental) B&N Exclusive Bonus Track
19 Tonight (Balcony Scene) B&N Exclusive Bonus Track

Sort of similar to the Gypsy bonus tracks. Includes actual scenes and instrumentals.

Does the B&N Exclusive Version of the 2009 Broadway Rivival Cast of West Side Story list the 3 bonus tracks on the back of the cd? I ordered this cd from B&N and received it today and there is only 16 tracks listed on the back of the cd. There is however a sticker on the front of the cd stating that it is the Barnes & Noble Exclusive version with the 3 bonus tracks.

Can anyone who has the cd confirm that the bonus tracks should or should not be listed on the back of the cd before I break the seal and open the cd?

Okay. That's what I thought, too at first. When I bought it, the back of the cardboard sleeve case says 16 tracks. Then, on the back of the actual CD case it lists all 19. Don't believe the cardboard!! lol.

Just opened it. You were absolutely correct. The cd inside listed the bonus 3 tracks for a total of 19 tracks. The cardboard sleeve was incorrect. I'm listening to the cd right now.

Okay, so having finally gotten the B&N CD and the iTunes tracks, I'm curious... do the two instrumental tracks have a place in the show proper if I wanted to arrange the tracks in sequential order? Or are they like the English "A Boy Like That" and "I Feel Pretty" in that they're just there for the sake of being a bonus track?

I'm sure this is a long shot, but does anyone have the 5 bonus tracks from the 2009 Recording (The 3 Barnes & Noble bonus tracks, and the 2 iTunes bonus tracks) as an mp3, or zip file or anything?

I cannot find them on youtube, or reddit, I know I had the two english songs, but I cannot seem to find them in my music files...
