Is StubHub a good option, like it is for concert/sporting event tickets?
Is/are there better places for reselling theater/Broadway tickets?
Thanks

Theatr app is my favorite for the tickets since there's more or less guarantee that you're not purchasing from a scalper. I've had a very good experience purchasing and selling on this app. StubHub is fine, especially if you have a hot ticket to sell, but the ticket fees are awful.

I've heard nothing but positive things about the theatre app.
I love the theatr app - easy, fast, and clean. I posted a ticket for sale on a Sunday morning, and it sold in seconds.

Absolutely this. I’ve been both buyer and seller and have had nothing but good experiences. It’s a great way to pick up unused rush tickets. You just have to know a little about pricing because folks will try to mildly scalp for hot shows, but the moderators are good about pulling those listings down when reported.
LOVNG the Theatr app. I was able to score incredible seats for a show AND was able to sell a pair of seats for another show I wasn't able to make. Do not use Stub Hub - between the fees and the scalpers I don't think it's the safest bet.
Kinda obsessed with Theatr app actually
Hey all - can someone please explain the process by which we sell shows on Theatr? I see that I list ticket details and wait for notification that they were (hopefully) sold. If I am selling a ticket purchased from Telecharge that won’t be issued to me until two weeks before the show, what happens between now and the date I receive the tickets? Does the buyer pay me or the service? Why would they risk paying a stranger for something that can’t be consummated for several weeks? How do I make sure I have the money before I transfer the tickets and how do they make sure they have the tickets before they transfer the money?
Sorry for all the questions, but the app does not clarify these details. StubHub, despite its exorbitant fee structure, seems much more straightforward. We upload the ticket confirmation email and they handle everything from there. I’m sure I’m missing something fundamental. Thanks in advance.

All your questions are answered right before you publish a listing on the app. You will receive money a few business days after the show, given there are no issues with your ticket. I personally only listed my tickets once i was able to immediately transfer. Stubhub works the same. You need to upload a pdf file of your ticket or transfer it directly to the buyer via email. Stubhub doesn't handle everything. You still must directly contact a buyer for some tickets transfers, like Public theater or Ticketmaster tix.

Thanks for your reply. This is all in regards to a work trip where 10 of us bought tickets in May to 3 different shows (3 Notebook, 3 Lempicka, and 4 Suffs) but the trip was cancelled for the Notebook and Lempicka folks.
Your suggestion to wait until the tickets are available for immediate transfer is disappointing. They're hoping for an option that enables them to list the tickets ASAP to increase the chances of finding buyers. They're full priced orchestra and first row first mezz seats that are typically harder to unload, although they will sell at a discount to sweeten the deal.

I also love the Theatr app. Its also a great way to get digital lottery, standing room or rush tickets without waiting in (or on) line as frequently people who have won tickets for inaccessible times need to sell.

I Sold my first Ticket on theatr. It went soo fast. Literally 2 Minutes and it was Sold!
Anyway.. Its my first time. I clicked that I would Transfer the Ticket via Email. I got the notification now that it got bought and that I should contact the Buyer. But I only got the first Name and the phonenumber. I saved the number but it doesnt Show up on WhatsApp. I dont even know from which country the number is. Oh and I cant text or call yet because I am still in germany.
