What are some of your dreamcasts?

I really wanted Falsettos with Raul Esparza as Marvin and Gavin Creel as Whizzer. Still holding out hope for a Raul Esparza Sweeney.

In a few years, Ben Platt as Charley Kringas. I think he'd do an incredible "Franklin Shepard Inc."

Brandon Uranowitz as The Baker--but only if Chip Zien is the Mysterious Man.

Rachel Bloom as Amy from Company.

Nathan Lane as Fiorello. Melissa Errico as Marie.

What are some of your dreamcasts?

I love this! These are the ones always bouncing around in my head; I'm sure I'll think of some more!

Michael Wartella as Hedwig in "Hedwig"

Stark Sands as Brad in "Rocky Horror"

Josh Gad as Psedolous in "A Funny Thing..."

Kate McKinnon as Alice Nutting/Edwin Drood in "Drood"

Carolee Carmello as Mother Gothel in a "Tangled: The Musical"

Neil Patrick Harris's Barnum in "Barnum"

Celia Keenan Bolger as Gerturde McFuzz in "Seussical"

When the Timing Is Right:

Daniel Radcliffe as VP Douglas Panch in "Spelling Bee"

Ben Platt as Literally Any Role in a "A Funny Thing..."

Eva Noblezada as Eliza in "Hamilton"

Cynthia Ervino as Hermione in "Cursed Child"

Nicholas Barasch as Ron in "Cursed Child" (not with Ervino, of course, but we also all know the play is gonna run long enough for him to age into it!)

And for fun in a twisted "Spelling Bee": Jackie Hoffman as VP Douglas Panch. Because she could literally do whatever she wanted. Though she does this anyway.

Fun fact: found an old notebook of mine from about four years ago with a list for "Rocky Horror" scribbled in the margins; it was mostly crap but I did list Stark Sands (see above) AND I had Annaleigh Ashford as Columbia! The role she played (and slayed) in the (otherwise awful) TV remake!!!

I don't have any full casts mentally planned, but just some random ones I've always fancied in my mind:

Eva Noblezada as Eliza in Hamilton
Alex Boniello as Dolokhov in The Great Comet
Andrew Kober as Pierre in The Great Comet
Alex Sharp as Albus in The Cursed Child
Cynthia Erivo as Hermione in The Cursed Child
George Salazar as Evan in Dear Evan Hansen (even though he's too old now)
Alex Brightman as Elder Cunningham in Book of Mormon

(Side-note: why are there so many Broadway actors named Alex?)

I love your ITW cast!

Nicholas Barasch as Jack? I also think Nicholas Barasch would be a great Barnaby Tucker. I'd especially love to see him alongside Gavin Creel as Cornelius.

Does/can Cate Blanchett sing? I hope so! She'd be an amazing Desiree. She then could also reprise her role in the imaginary Carol: The Musical that lives in my head.

What are some of your dreamcasts?

After War Paint, I'd love to see Patti and Christine reunite for a musical based on Feud: Bette and Joan. Patti as Bette and Christine as Joan.

She sings well enough that she could sing Desiree. It's actually a very easy singing role, but a very challenging acting role.

What are some of your dreamcasts?

In the upcoming revival of My Fair Lady at Lincoln Center, I would love to see a Frasier reunion with Kelsey Grammar and David Hyde Pierce alternating between Pickering and Higgins. Throw in John Mahoney as Dolittle if he can sing while you're at it. For Eliza, definitely Laura Benanti if she gets back in the game after having the baby or maybe Christy Altomore. If it has to be a Hollywood person, I think either Anne Hathaway or Anna Kendrick could pull the role off.

Jennifer Laura Thompson as Elizabeth Arden
