For women its easy -- Mama Rose, most people would say, or perhaps Evita. But what would you consider the male equivilent? What is the greatest role for a man in Musical Theater?

Mama Rose? i would agree with Evita,Norma Desmond,the Narrator in Joseph,the Witch,Spider Woman in "kiss...",Sally Bowles...bla bla. the best male role is Roger in Rent.

Sweeney Todd I guess because he has quiet a few different levels (you have to be cheering for him to kill the judge but be afriad of him)
