It's A Bird, It's A Plane , It's Superman
I listen to the cast album & I can visualize what is happening during each song. I cannot say that about anyother show
Wicked, Spelling Bee, and Hairspray are pretty high on my list.
GYPSY
SIDE SHOW
SWEENEY TODD
GYPSY
MAME (but only with Lansbury)
EVITA
FOLLIES
My all-time favorite... that's a toughie. Probably Into the Woods or Sweeney Todd or something equally classic. Gypsy and Chicago come in pretty close as well.
And for plays... The Children's Hour or The Importance of Being Earnest. Both very different but two of my favorites nevertheless.
And as for revues, Forbidden Broadway. No contest.

RENT. My favorite show and it made me learn more about AIDS and gave me AIDS awareness.
..and that's a GREAT thing...
you get entertained and you learned something in the process!
My all time favorites:
Musical - "Passion". No doubt about it.
Play - "Wit". Heartbreaking and wonderful.
It changes all the time. Right now it's Follies. Wow.
