I have never been to a play before in my life and I reall want to see most of the new ones out. I want to hear your personal opinions on the ones that you saw so far this season.

God of Carnage
reasons to be pretty
I loved Irena's Vow, but it does seem like a love-it-or-hate-it show. People feel strongly one way or the other about it.
Yankeefan.. i really wanted to see God of Carnage.. That could be a good choice.. thanks
"Reasons to be pretty"--- "Joe Turner..." a close 2nd
I know it's a revival but Exit the King was really good. (Can't say about God of Carnage. I may break down and get a standing room even though I have an awesome seat for 6/3 that I'm planning on using.)

If we're talking revivals, as well, EXIT THE KING, hands down, the best production of the season.
God of Carnage and Irena's Vow
Too many awesome plays to choose from this season, but that said:
New- Irena's Vow
Revival- The Seagull, Joe Turner's Come and Gone and Exit the King (Sorry I just couldn't decide)

NEW plays?
1.REASONS TO BE PRETTY (was the best reviewed new play of the year)
2. RUINED
and if you really must:
3. GOD OF CARNAGE
If you can get a free ticket:
4. IRENA'S VOW

In terms of revival, EXIT THE KING and BLITHE SPIRIT are both great choices.
I haven't seen any new plays this season as far as I can remember but I've heard fantastic things about GOD OF CARNAGE and RUINED.
However, if you have never seen a play, I highly highly HIGHLY recommend going to the Music Box to watch AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY.
I agree about AUGUST. REASONS and RUINED are great but pale in comparison to the brilliance that is AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY.
Is August really any good because when the weekly grosses come out, it seems that everybody is saying to put it out of its misery.. Although my drama teacher said it was fabulous.
^ That is only because it has been on for alot longer than most plays normally run, therefore most people have seen it already who want to see it.
It is FANTASTIC! First professional "Play" I saw and I am returing to alot more because I had such a good time at August.
"August:OC" is scary good !!!

A:OC is nowhere near as good as RUINED.
God of Carnage is amazing
also why torture is wrong and the people who love them
Reasons to be Pretty...and with it's grosses it may not be around long (here's hoping it finds its audience), so it would be a good place to start.
I have been hearing a lot of good things about RUINED. Is it still on TDF? I might just renew my subs...

I love AUGUST, too - but strictly speaking it was "new" last season.
I actually really liked Distracted. I don't know if it was just Cynthia Nixon's performance or possibly my relating to the material, but I thought it was a lot better than others I saw. Of course if I'm counting plays from last season, I would say August: Osage County, since that is quite possibly the best play currently on Broadway (especially with Estelle Parsons in the cast).
