Yeah, Moulin Rouge is really the best bet.

What are some other big musicals on the horizon? Moulin Rouge, Crazy for You, and Beetlejuice?

I think the Imperial will also be availble around the same time, it just doesn't seem like there are enough big musicals ready for this year.....ATP will NOT be going into a Nederlander house.

Beetlejuice? Moulin Rouge waiting until 19-20 since it has the same producers as King Kong.

Ain't Too Proud I'm guessing? Hopefully that show doesn't come to Broadway, was one of the most generic shows I've ever seen.

Moulin Rouge could do great stuff with the Winter Garden marquee.

ATP = Ain't Too Proud?

CRAZY FOR YOU would be a good fit.

Is the set for Hadestown much bigger now than it was in the round at NYTW?

Posters on here have claimed MOULIN ROUGE is definitely going to the Hirschfeld this spring, and that it's definitely going to the Shubert next spring.

Does no one else think that a producer would still put two shows up in the same season if that that the perfect venue and everything works. I mean king king will never take home best musical or score. Or any of the acting awards. I feel and really hope that it is moulin rouge that goes into the winter garden. It’s tge perfect venue for it and excellent signage

Hadestown is growing with each new production. It's going to be at the Olivier in London, so I suspect that it'll be a pretty large production by the time it reaches Broadway.

Adding to the suggestions that were brought up below, is Tina a possibility? Or is that more distantly in the works?

Moulin Rouge

Hadestown

Ain't Too Proud

Beetlejuice

Crazy for You

Also, very different shows, I'd imagine. But, redoing the theater will take time.

Beetlejuice and Dave (as well as Ain't too proud) all have out-of-town try-outs in DC before the end of the year.  Dave has it's first preview tomorrow night, but I expect it would be in a smaller house; more like DEH.  Beetlejuice is being staged at the National which hosted Mean Girls last fall.

Love Never Dies would be such a foolish waste of money.
