I think he was just going to work more with OSP (his band). But I don't know that for sure.

All I know is that he has some performances with his band lined up.

Extending is optional, and he was obviously ready to move on. Several other cast members have left, too.

Actually, no. He did want to. But he already had these plans for now before he knew of the success. I forget where I heard this from, but apparently he would have signed on for more.

his replacement blake bashoff was excellent..i didn't even notice he was "new" in the role..blake, lea and john (groff) were really standouts when I saw the show yesterday..i did not see John Gallerger jr in the show..ever..i did hear he was incredible though

and btw I think he sounds just like JGJ..but thats my opinion..as I'm sure MANY on here will contradict me

Now I never saw JGJ, but Blake Bashoff soudned less "rock" to me. Both incredible. Bashoff didn't have the same modern edge to his voice but he sure did to his acting. I could hear some similarities between their voices though.
