Now that IN THE HEIGHTS is closing, another Nederlander theatre is vacant for the loaded season ahead. What will/should go into this theatre once ITH vacates...???

The only show announced (well, aiming for a 2011 opening) that is without a theater is GODSPELL...

Where are Bengal and Hat going?

Is Godspell actually happening?

HAT gets the Schoenfeld in March.

Bengal could be a possibility, LEAP OF FAITH as well if it does actually transfer to Broadway.

I only threw Godspell out there per the list on Playbill.com

Motherf--ker is going to the Schoenfeld. Bengal could conceivably be going to the Rodgers.

I doubt that either Leap of Faith or Godspell will show up on Broadway this season. Crazier things have happened, though.

What about the revival of Title of Show we were promised for like a year and a half now? If they keep the Richard Rodgers Theatre open for that, it can have a spring opening and get lots of Tony nominations. What's next for the Richard Rodgers Theatre?

People were talking about it here, so it must be true.

I guess it didn't come across that I'm not being serious.

I'd bet Bengal Tiger is going to the Rodgers. Some of the lead producers are the same and with Robin Williams, the larger theatre's capacity is too good to pass up (vs. the "usual" play houses).

They should transfer the Evita revival in 2011 instead of 2012. That would be perfect for the Richard Rogers.

Per my understanding, Godspell is arriving on Broadway Fall 2011 - granted Ken Davenport comes through with the funding.

Keep in mind, there may be musicals/plays coming to Broadway Spring 2011 which have not yet been announced to the general public. It's conceivable one of those productions will potentially take the Rodgers.

Currently, Godspell is not planning on opening on Broadway. There is talks of it, but none of the creative team has been hired (or re-hired from the original run)

Lightguy, you are wrong...

Godspell is hoping to open on Broadway in the Spring. It is eyeing a smaller theater that is currently booked but is expected to be vacant by Jan/Feb.

As I mentioned above, I'd expect Bengal Tiger to go to the Rodgers.

I'd expect to see Godspell at Circle in the Square in the Spring.

On the most recent audition breakdown for Godspell it said something about opening in July?

Also, I know there was an audition for "Baby, It's You" - a new musical jukebox type show featuring old school hits about a Jewish woman who has an affair with a black man and opens a record company or something. It said it was opening on Broadway in the spring. So, that's a possibility.

ANGELS IN AMERICA

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I believe "Sueleen...At Liberty" is going into the Richard Rodgers. I heard it from a reputable producer.
