ok here we go....shows: Millie, Wicked, Rent, all those cast recordings plus Aida and Tick, Tick...Boom!, ummm the songs Louder than words, 30/90, Gimme Gimme, and many others!! Also my broadway boys...ADAM PASCAL, Patrick Wilson, Hugh Jackman, Michael Cavanaugh....ok this list goes on and on so we're gonna leave it at that!

I have had some great stage door experiences so that has become somewhat of an obsession! I also just looove being in the times square near all the theatres. It makes me feel so good and there is no other feeling like it!

Oh ok so after people start to leave after a show ends my friend and I go through and pick up playbills and tickets that people have left. I know it's rather insane, but I hate to see them left there and I looove having extra playbills from a show!

My obsession is to experience an original musical written with intelligence and wit by writers who are sophisticated but demanding of an audience and who excell at their craft; directed by a someone who understands the musical he/she is directing and how to interpret the show in a manner to engage an audience and maybe even ask the audience to stretch itself a bit; choreographed by a dancer who is individually innovative and creative and not derivative; designed, costumed and lit by artists; performed by professional musical stage performers who are know what it means to perform live on stage and who possess star quality to captivate an audience.

My second obsession is a non-musical play with all the elements of the above but adjusted as appropriate for a non-musical.

Alas, my obsessions are increasingly illusive.

After seeing The Boy From Oz, I found myself becoming very involved with all things Hugh Jackman. I rented X Men 1 and 2 (one was my favorite) and I started to look at pictures of Hugh on the internet. I watched Kate and Leopold and set my VCR for Hugh's appearance on Regis and Kelly and I'm looking forward to Hugh's appearance on Bravo Sunday at 8 p.m. I sing along to BFO in the car (but I do love to listen to Wicked as well) Updated On: 3/4/04 at 10:57 PM

Anything and everything Broadway. I want to learn about everything. The history, listen to all the shows I can on cd. See as many shows as I can. Learn about the acting side of theater, developing character, singing technique, the technical side, lighting, sound, set building, directing, producing....I mean everything! Broadway/musicals are my obssession. If you can name an aspect of theatre I don't want to learn about then you get a cookie! Aww now I've gone and gotten myself all excited. I need to go run around my dorm a dozen times or so to get rid of all this excess energy! re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: Obsession is such a 'dirty' word

TFM, particularly in London (hi Piglet, darlin')
DOTV (sorry - but guilty pleasures RULE!)
All those shows I've been involved in but can't mention for fear of self-promotion (but you know who you are).

Really find the choices people are listing here interesting.

I don't know if they're really obsessions but - Wonderful baritones with voices that make me melt (i.e. Kevin Earley's voice) Shows that make me tolerate the 14 hour flight to NYC (i.e. "Avenue Q") and cast recordings that I can't stop playing in my car ("Side Show", "Assassins", "Parade")
