No one knows. I would bet they are looking for one close to The Majestic.

I bet it will take the Broadway Theatre.

I think that I read that they were looking at the Neil Simon...but I'm not sure.

Someone said on ATC recently that everyone involved with RAGTIME knows that LND will be taking the Neil Simon next Fall, so RAGTIME will have to close or transfer theaters.

I have a friend from College in Ragtime. I'll ask him if he knows anything.

I do know that when there were rumors of Dirty Dancing coming to Broadway after the tour that it was looking at the Neil Simon. I also know that around that time the rumors were that Love Never Dies was aiming for an opening of fall of this year on Broadway rather then fall of next year on Broadway. So, it's hard to say.

As of right now that theatre is off the table as an option due to the fact that Ragtime going to start previews soon. And, as far as I know, it's an open ended run. So, there is a chance that it would prevent the Neil Simon being an option for Love Never Dies.

I would think that considering the great relationship Really Useful has with the Shuberts, that it would opt for a Shubert house. But, I don't know. I can see it play The Broadway but as of right now I do think that it is really hard to say where it is going to be going.

The Ambassador or Winter Garden, PLEEEEEEASSSEE!! re: What theatre is LOVE NEVER DIES going to?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Winston: The only Really Useful show to open at a Shubert house since 1990 was "Bombay Dreams" at the Broadway earlier this decade. All other shows (5) have been at Nederlander houses and others. There was more of relationship in the 80s (except for Starlight Express).

How to properly use its/it's: Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...

The press article did say the Theatre is already booked. I don't think it's gonna be a Nederlander theatre either.

It would be cool if it went into the Shubert or another one on 44th street (although apart from the Shubert, the only other one there that can stage it would probably be the St. James)

If it were to go to a shubert one I would like in in the Belasco, I think it would suit in there after ir is fixed up and with a pit added.

But as for Nederlander theatres, the Palace would be nice, But by choosing the Adelphi and runoured Prince of Wales in Toronto, It seems that they are not looking for big houses.

Would be a shame in Ragtime has to transfer, that's an expensive thing to do.

I just hope it doesn't end up in the Marquis

^ I thought the London Phantom set was smaller than the Broadway set? If that's true, it could be the same deal with Love Never Dies.

I would really like it to go into the Belasco, it's got a deep underbelly. I think Love Never Dies would work quite well in there. I just hope it doesn't make Ragtime transfer or close!!

I'm assuming that it would probably go to a Nederlander house, as RUG co-owns London's Adelphi with the Nederlanders.

A Shubert house would make more sense from a business standpoint, in that it would allow packages for Original Recipe Phantom and Electric Boogaloo. As the two organizations have different ticketing systems, people who want to have a Phantom-filled day or weekend would have to do more legwork if the sequel goes to a Nederlander.

You're wrong. It IS going into the Neil Simon. RUG booked the theater...Ragtime is a filler show.

Riedel also confirmed the Neil Simon in his article. I have no idea why people are having trouble believing this.

Winston seems to think he knows everything. Ragtime is "open ended" but Love Never dies has booked the Neil Simon. The deal is that if Ragtime has to transfer because it is still running, Love Never Dies will pay half the expenses.

"The deal is that if Ragtime has to transfer because it is still running, Love Never Dies will pay half the expenses."

Well that makes more sence, I cant speak for others, I was skeptical because I could not understand why Ragtime would go into a theatre that is already booked further on unless they don't expect a long run. But if LND will pay part of the transfer fees then it makes sence to me.

Unless by then if there are no other theatres available what happens?

Does anyone know if there are any plans to fix up the theatre in the mean time? It looked wuite drap when Hairspray was there, Yellow and gray are such a strange combo, and I remember alot of interesting features in the auditorium that were hard to see because it was all painted the same colour. If done right that theatre can be one of the prettiest on Broadway with that lovely brick and white facade and all.
