Mine would be Seymour from LSoH. I like the character and he's kind of like me... your average guy who gets a run of luck... although mine don't include owning a man-eating plant.
Other roles I would like to play:
Billy Lawlor - 42nd Street (I tap dance)
Amos Hart - Chicago
Leading Player - Pippin
Judas - JCS
there are more, but I'll stick with these.

Older Helen in Hollywood Arms. That role is so me -- literally.
Velma Kelly in Chicago... mostly because I could sing and dance the hell out of that role

Rose in Gypsy. Yes, the singing load is overwhelming, but the character herself is amazing. She's not a particularly good person, but she's charming nevertheless. She's a strong woman who isn't defined as just "the love interest." She's her own person- overbearing, rude, and fiercely determined. She loves her children even as she smothers them. And when her own dreams are thwarted, instead of becoming withdrawn and bitter she does something about it, even if that something isn't very good.
And she gets to sing "Rose's Turn." What a song.
