Off-Broadway, but Luisa in The Fantasticks...I think that I would be the best Luisa EVER if only...I could sing. Just a little. That seems to be the one thing holding me back :)
I just love her. So cute and energetic and girly.

What a cute little thread!
My Dream Role is to play Peter Allen in THE BOY FROM OZ.
If I was a woman, it would be a tie between ( imo) the 2 most challenging roles for women in Musical Theatre: Fanny Brice in FUNNY GIRL and Eva Peron in Evita.

I'd love to play Javert or Sweeney Todd. I'm love the anti-hero characters, and the baritone roles seem grittier and more challenging than most tenor roles.

Amalia in She Loves Me or Kim in Miss Saigon.
Of course, that would mean I could really sing - which would be my primary dream to begin with.

Stine CITY OF ANGELS
Georg SHE LOVES ME
Chuck PROMISES, PROMISES
great shows, great songs, great roles which (at least at one time) I could do (perhaps not all that well but that's another story)
Edmund LONG DAYS JOURNEY
Tom GLASS MENAGERIE
Norman THE NORMAN CONQUESTS
Ditto minus the songs

I'm female, but I will include a few male roles (just because I think they're great-not because I think I could play them. Come to think of it, I likely won't ever play ANY of them.)
Female:
Fosca in Passion
Eva in Evita
Carrie Pipperidge in Carousel (I'm vocally closer to her than Julie-also, I wanted a comedic role here to stretch my range!)
Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret (my favorite role Kander and Ebb created I think-I'm too young and don't think I'll ever play her, but I love this role)
Male:
Emcee in Cabaret (I know women have played him/her and I'd love to)
Sweeney Todd (a complex role)
The Phantom (I have seen actors in this role who make me feel for him-I'd love to play him. Not gonna happen but I love the role.)
George in Sunday in the Park With George (Dot/Marie almost made my list for the ladies-I love George because I understand the 'artistic temperament' from a performing arts perspective and would love to play the role.)
