That was appearing in two shows at the same time? Was it Christine Ebersole? What shows were they?
I think you are thinking of Cynthia Nixon, who did The Real Thing and Hurlyburly at the same time.
Cynthis Nixon was in HURLYBURLY and THE REAL THING.

That's it!! Thank you very much.
Kathleen Chalfant did two Off-Broadway shows simultaneously for about a month. 'Talking Heads' and 'Savannah Bay'.

Savannah Bay was a short play (an hour and 10 minutes or so). Talking Heads was two evenings of extended solo monologues and Chalfant did the third and final one on one of the evenings. On certain nights, she'd perform Savannah Bay, get out around 9:15, jump into a car and be whisked crosstown (from CSC in the East Village to the Minetta Lane in the West Village) and be there in plenty of time to deliver her monologue.
Wasn't there also an actor who was in 2 Broadway shows simultaneously? I remember seeing something on tv about this years ago.

It reminds me of that part in Elaine Stritches show about her being the standby for Ethel Merman and having to take the train to her show every night

Braden Danner, the original Gavroche in Les Miz, was simultaneously the voice of the little boy in Starlight Express. Although he wasn't actually IN both shows, he was billed in the Playbill with the cast of both shows during the months the shows runs overlapped.
Not exactly what you're looking for, but interesting nonetheless.
