And School for Rock is for sure bland. I think Webber wrote some great songs, but I think the casting is wrong (Boggess is all wrong, they need a true pop/rock singer in the role, and the song is beautiful, just not in her voice). It's also funny to mention that Nick, Jr. has a School of Rock TV show where the lead is a blonde surfer type guy. Kind of random.

I'm not talking about the opinion of the show's "worthiness", I'm talking about what the average viewer is going to be drawn into buying tickets for. This telecast will likely have new viewers due to Hamilton who are not theater lovers. They aren't going to have any idea about Sierra or whatever else. They are going to see 3 minutes and I'm thinking a lot of people might be impressed with those 3 minutes. Like PT said, it's a fun show, kids get into it and it's not tortuous for parents. Granted, it's not the first choice for couples.
