Heard back from Elaine Stritch this weekend (picked up my mail this morning). She sent back my SASE with all four CD covers signed: GOLDILOCKS, COMPANY, ON YOUR TOES, and SAIL AWAY. What a wonderful way to start the week!
How did you send a whole poster (I assume it's a standard 14x22) to Mary Poppins? I would LOVE to do that with A Little Night Music.
"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D
I have a bunch of those cardboard things from buying posters off of ebay and what not so, I took one of those, taped up 3 sides of it, stuck my poster in it. I wrote my address on it and put on 13 stamps and wrote Priority Mail as well. I then stuck my letter to the cardboard so they could find it. I then took brown shipping paper and wrapped the whole thing up with that, addressed it to the Cast of Mary Poppins, and brought it to the post office and paid the shipping cost through them. This is my second time doing this as I have done this with my Legally Blonde tour poster and it hasn't failed me yet.
Today, I got a signed picture from Andy Karl as Fiyero, a signed headshot from Seth Rettberg from Avenue Q with a nice note, and a cast signed playbill from In the Heights.
Today I got the signed Wicked photos from the show that I donated money to BCEFA for. The photos included Stephanie J. Block, Eden Espinosa, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Erin Mackey, Rue McClanahan, and Carole Shelley. I also got a signed picture from Alli Mauzey as Glinda, and a signed photo from Jody Gelb (Madame Morrible, Wicked SF)
^ If you are talking to me and about the Wicked photos, I originally sent a letter with a SASE and got a letter back that they did and they sell them at the flea market for these prices, 1 for $10, 2 for $15, or 3 for $20.
I just got a signed playbill back from Stephen Sondheim himself. It says "To Joseph, with best wishes, from Stephen Sondeheim"
So happy. :)

Has anyone here had any luck with any actors at Second Stage Theatre? I want to send mail to a couple of cast memebers in Trust, and I am curious if the theatre passes on fanmail.
