Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together."
So I went a little mail happy these past few weeks. Here is everything I've sent out.
Jonathan Groff - Spring Awakening Tevin Cambell - Hairspray Raul Esparza - Company Beth Leavel - Drowsy John Gallagher Jr - Spring Awakening Julia Murney - Wicked Ashley Brown - Mary Poppins Laura Bell Bundy - Legally Blonde John Lloyd Young - Jersey Boys John Tartaglia - BATB Charlotte D'Amboise - ACL Christine Ebersole - Grey Gardens Edward Hibbert - Curtains
Haha, your not the only one who has gone mail crazy. I have been sick, so I have been writing a lot of fan mail.
Shannon Durig (Hairspray) Stephanie J. Block (The Pirate Quee) Annaliese van der Pol (Beauty and the Beast) David Hyde Pierce (Curtains) John Gallagher Jr. (Spring Awakening) Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins) Jayne Houdyshell (Wicked) Kerry Butler (Xanadu) Cast of Les Mis Leslie Kritzer (Legally Blonde)
you'll hear from edward hibbert for sure. he's a good friend of mine and he always answers his fan mail, even if it does sometimes take him a while. haha if you don't get anything tell me and i'll remedy the situation! :)
once again, strange things are happening with my BWW account. the above message was typed as a PM and I was somehow logged on under another screen name with all the same info as me. Very wierd. anyway, back to our regualarly scheduled conversation....
You are young, life has been kind to you. You will learn.
Oh that makes me very happy. I've seen him in Drowsy and Curtains and he is absolutely amazing. He's definently one of my favorite actors right up there with Raul Esparza. I asked for a signed headshot because I really want to get one framed for my wall. Last time I saw Curtains I had him sign my Drowsy LP and he was just so nice.
I received mail from Jonathan Groff and Raul Esparza today!!! I got a personalized playbil from Groff and a signed headshot from Raul. AH! Time to run to Hobby Lobby and get frames.
Two weeks to hear back from Jonathan and less that 2 weeks for Raul. Brina-doll, have you still not gotten anything back from him? When did you mail him?
what did Raul write on his headshot? I LOVE that picture so much. I think I'm going to write to him for one - I think it would be way too nerdy if I asked him to sign our stagedoor picture, lol
The morning star always gets wonderful bright the minute before it has to go --doesn't it?
I didn't necessarily "get it back", but while at Wicked in Chicago, I got a poster signed by the whole cast. I've also gotten many emails from Spring Awakening understudies Matt Doyle and Gerard Cononico.
Less than two weeks? lol, he must have nothing better to do. And yes, it looks like: "To Ben, with looove from Bobby, Raúl E. Esparza." Nice subtle quote from the show.
I feel odd asking for a headshot. Do actors generally just have them laying around? I imagine it would get expensive after awhile.
"I wouldn't let Esparza's Bobby take my kids to the zoo...I'd be afraid he'd steal their ice cream and laugh."- YankeeFan
"People who like Sondheim enjoy cruelty."-LuvtheEmcee
I always feel like Kathy Griffin's Celine Dion fan friend who put post-its on the cds telling her what to write, "I love you because you loved me, Love Celine xo xo"
hehe.
I will probably write to him after the Tonys sometime. Poor Anthony Rapp probbaly got the three page typed letter from me and was like wtf...lol

rockabye, I'm sure they have a lot but they might run out of the same one once in awhile. I've heard of some ppl getting different headshots. Thats a good question tho, I dont know how it works

I usually get a different headshot. Usually an older one that they probably have multiples of laying around. Sometimes they also have a "fun" headshot they send; off the top of my head, I can think of Lauren Molina and Lauren Pritchard.
also, got something back last week from Lisa Howard, took just under a year. Updated On: 6/7/07 at 04:57 PM
I think you can actually address it to "The Cast" - if you look back on this thread, I think someone has mentioned that, but I'm not sure what their exact wording was

I addressed the envelope to the "stage manager" and in less than one week, I receieved a signed Playbill from:
Grey Gardens (signed by Christine AND Mary Louise)which is something that I could not do in person. I could only get Christine's autograph in person....not Mary Louise)
