Unless there is an understudy slip listing the actor's name, it should be whoever is listed as the Phantom on the main cast page in the Playbill. I believe it's Ben Crawford right now? Enjoy!

Phantom is pretty good about updating their Playbills when they know in advance understudies will be on. I know Jeremy Stolle is on tomorrow for both Thursday shows, and it looks like Laird was on earlier this week. Unfortunately I'm not sure who it would be tonight.
Ben Crawford is the principle Phantom actor and he must have had a few days off booked for this week, so you may be seeing Laird tonight unless Ben had yesterday and tomorrow off, but not today.
The ushers should know which one is on though, if you ask at intermission.

Every day I'm more convinced that ALW thinks he is.

Laird Mackintosh. Ben Crawford is in Baltimore (per both their Instagrams).
Usually when they have multiple Phantoms in one week it will be reflected in the Playbill, which is updated every week with who is going on when. But maybe it's less organized this time for some reason.

It is a good principal to let everyone know in advance!

There is always a board on the door as you enter the lobby from the foyer (where they scan your ticket), and it indicates who the replacements are (if any) for the current performance.

That's true, but if they know in advance and put it in the playbill that, for example, Jeremy Stolle will be the Phantom on Thursday for both shows, as they did for today's performances, they won't put that on the understudy board.

So it's on the board and/or on a slip inserted into the Playbill; I don't understand the confusion.

I think thedrybandit is saying that Phantom in particular likes to list who is who in the playbill for each date, rather than using understudy slips for a whole week.
When there are multiple Phantoms in a week, and they know far enough in advance, it will say something like The Phantom (Monday- Wednesday) Laird Macintosh, The Phantom (Thursday) Jeremy Stolle, The Phantom (Fri-Saturday) Paul Schaefer. I can see where the OP is coming from, as it get rather mixed up when Laird is listed a few rows down as Andre, Jeremy as Passarino, etc, and their bios include their main role.
