The time is gettin closer and closer when Chenoweth leaves, who is goin to replace her. I kno this will not happen but i would love to see Bernadette Peters in it. I think she looks just as young as Chenoweth. Well, who does every1 else think will get it.
I can't really see Bernadette as bouncy, bubbly G(a)linda.
When I saw the show, you know who Glinda reminded me of? Kelly Ripa. I'm not suggesting that she go up and try it, good God, no, but I'm just..
I don't know what the hell I'm trying to say. Check, please.

on1ystarinthesky I know exactly what you are saying. That thought crossed my mind the first time I saw Wicked. I think Kelly would be good with the humor moments, not the singing mind you, just some of the acting. Watch Hope and Faith and you'll know what I mean.
i'd like to see Kerry Butler do it...i don't know if she has the operatic notes but glinda doesn't necessarily have to be done in that way. her or Megan Mullaly. LOVE HER!!
I'd definitely LOVE to see Megan Mullaly as Glinda. I think she'd be terrific.
I dunno about Kerry, I dunno if she'd be able to pull off Glinda's snobbiness. But hey, if it'll get her into something, by all means, let her take the reins. I don't think I'll be able to take the Kerry withdrawal that will follow June 20...

I'm dropping by the LSOH stage door on Kerry's b-day...maybe I can drop a couple hints.
"So, what do you think of blondes in bubbles?"

I think Sherie Scott would be good as either Elphaba or Glinda (in response to the other thread), but a better Elphaba. She has an amazing belt, and her "No Good Deed" would be great. It's kinda similar to some of her L5Y songs like "See I'm Smiling" or "Still Hurting" where she is being betrayed and she's all alone.
But this is a thread for the next Glinda, so never mind. Sorry for wasting your time.
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."

Phyllis Diller would be AMAZING as Galinda...and when Idina leaves ( I can call her Idina because I know someone who dates a girl who's bestfriend is Idina's dog groomer) I think it would be perfect to have Joanne Worley opposite Phyllis Diller - of course this means finding someone absolutely ANCIENT to play Morrible - maybe Strich? or Bea Arthur!...and then we could get Frank Gorshin to play Fiero and, oh if only Liberace were alive to play the wizard (guess we'll have to settle for someone alive, like, oh, maybe (damn, I'm drawing a blank - help me out here!) - ahhh what joy that would bring! specially to all of us WICKED devotees!
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!"

CKeaton - what a great idea! finally pumping some true life into the show!

My vote goes to the lovely Barbara Cook. He voice is well-suited to the role and she's make a vivid impression in that bubble. Just imagine how she'd make the staging of "Popular" so memorable!
well Barbra Cooke can definitely sing the s##t out of it - even now...she might be a teensy bit more difficult to "hoist high in the old bubble" but worth it!

I'd pay $100 again if Barbara Cook took over the role (that would be such ao hoot!) Barbara (another Barbara)
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

Anyway, I think for not at least that Laura Bell Bundy is gonna take over, since there haven't been any other announcements. The part was just written so much for Chenowith that I don't think there's anyone else that can really play it the same. But I would love to see someone else's take on it, since I've only seen Chenowith. I agree with the people who mentioned Megan Mullaly, she would be hysterical! But I think that for whoever plays G(a)linda next, they're gonna have to lower some of those high notes.

Robbie - knowing what you look like and picturing you doing her (JoAnne's) famous WHOOOOAAAAAAAA as she tilts her head back - makes me hoot with laughter here!
