I don’t have any issues at all seeing them on my iPhone or my iPad with the brightness turned all the way up...it’s all stark, black and white, and very in my face. Maybe I need to turn the brightness level down a bit. LOL.

I can see them fine. Weird. Maybe delete the app and re-install? Or are you using webpage?

Perhaps you are having issues with your eye sight since everyone else sees it just fine. Considering the name of this thread, perhaps you need a special computer, tablet, or glasses.

Everything is fine on my laptop, but on my phone, the message type is very light. It's been that way for as long as I can remember and hasn't gotten worse. It also hasn't gotten better.

I don't use the mobile app (didn't know there was one). But my android phone's webpage has had this issue since ... probably a year now. I often have to literally highlight the text to be able to read it.
And EllieRose2 - that comment was absolutely entirely unnecessary.

I can see them just fine but the color of the font is definitely on the lighter side.
The color of the font is much darker when you are typing in your post and I'd rather see the font in the threads look more like that color wise.
This whole message board is extremely outdated and is in need for a massive overhaul though.

I don't use the mobile app, either. I use the web page on my phone. I wasn't even aware there was an app until reading this thread, and when I looked at the reviews in the Google Play Store, it seems the app just sends you to the website. Which sounds like something this place would do...
Like the content - hate the presentation.

I do notice that some replies seem like a little darker than others, been noticing that for awhile since that last big refresh they did.

It's lighter than my default font on my Windows destop too, but not nearly as much. I really wish the board moderators would fix this; I've tried all the workarounds I can think of.

I'm glad finally someone brought this up. It started since the latest launch of the new design. The font looks way too slim on Android phone (in Chrome, I don't use the app), it's barely readable, it hurts my eyes. iPhone looks fine, laptop looks fine too, just Android.

The workaround I use on my android phone is to set the browser to night mode, then the text is white on black background and easy to read.

Just a reminder to everyone, in an effort to help the mods and developers who maintain the site, when posting about a technical issue be sure to include relevant information like the OS you are using (Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android) and the browser you're using as well (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, the app, etc). That will help them with troubleshooting and hopefully get to a quicker resolution.
