I always though that perhaps Sierra Boggess might make a nice Glinda.
MORGAN JAMES AS ELPHABA WOULD BE AWESOME
I am no fan of Ariana Grande, although she's got a crazy voice I'm not sure I can see her in either role at this point. Maybe in a few years and she matures a bit. I can only see her reading way too young in the second act.

I wouldn't mind Alli Mauzey. She's my favorite Glinda (next to Annaleigh Ashford)!
Shoshana says she misses Wicked...but I doubt she'll return. Her vocals didn't have a good time during her run in the show. Also, she's really focusing now on her R&B/pop career, as kurt.perry41 said.

What do you mean?
"It's probably Alli Mauzey or Chandra Lee Schwartz who is returning"

beautywickedlover,
If it those either of those two; I will go in a corner and cry.
I feel like Alli Mauzey is Broadway's Lucy Durack and Chandra has played the role wayyyyyy tooooooo many times!

I agree...as much as I ADORE Ariana Grande I feel she'd read too young for the role. Especially if the Elphaba looks older.

This is Lindsay's first run in Wicked. Give her some time to settle in to the role before you think about who's next. And she's going to be in the role for the rest of the year, so it is very early to think about her replacement. I wouldn't be surprised if she extended her contract even longer.
And yes KRC has been doing Wicked for 5 years so she's a different story. It's always nicer to see a new actors in long-running shows. Which is why I find it so strange that people are already thinking about Lindsay's replacement. Enjoy the freshness of her portrayal.

Here's the thing though. I ADORE Alli Mauzy.
I just think she needs something new and interesting written for her, not that she has any control over that lol.
I'd love to see her come back to wicked, she's a beast.
@kurt Who even said it was Alli?
@Bwaydide It's not that we don't appreciate her "fresh portrayal", it's that we are just interested in hearing other people's opinions on who they would like to see play Elphaba in the coming years.
And what is up with these sudden lead replacements? Samantha and Peter are getting replaced by Raab and Hugh once again in Phantom. Off topic, anyone know who is temporarily replacing Santino in Cinderella?

Wait justincharacter, Santino is being temporarily replaced?
Well, that is what I'm figuring since he is taking a short leave to do Frozen.

Who is replacing Katie Rose Clarke? I have a couple ideas : Chandra Lee Schwartz, Erin Mackey, Alli Mauzey (if they're desperate), Kate Reinders (that would sadly be a bad choice), Natalie Daradich, and Tiffany Haas. PM me if any of those are right.

If it's someone who's been with Wicked for a long time, I would guess you were talking about Kendra Kassebaum who has been with the show the longest.
EDIT: Isn't Kendra doing Carrie as Ms. Gardner though, so scratch that.
I hope it's Alli Mauzey and not Chandra. Chandra's voice is so thin to me. Those are the only two other women it could be unless you're considering a long time to be shorter than what I'm thinking.
I want Christina Decicco to come back.

Kendra Kassebaum is definitely happening sooner or later. You know Wicked would love the opportunity to have her return for the 10th Anniversary. Its only fair then that Stephanie comes back and relieves Lindsay of her duties. Man she is just bad. I don't know know why she is considered awesome and fresh when she clearly does not have the look and sound that Elphaba should have.

(Gasp)How could you? Lindsay Mendez is one of the best Elphaba's that has ever played the role.

I just didn't want to sound like I was dissing Alli that's all.
I LOVE Kendra, I saw her on tour with Julia and in Leap of Faith.
I quite like the work that Lindsey is doing in Wicked. Kind of Reminiscent of Eden if you ask me.

I think we can all assume that L Mendez will be with Wicked until November(6-month contract or until May 2014(1-year contract) or longer. It is the Glinda replacement that may be a little more pressing and of concern since it is apparently someone who has been with the show a long time.

Haha don't get me wrong I like Lindsay, but I've seen her live and her voice just doesn't fit Elphaba. Her voice is pretty incredible but I just don't think after almost two months, that she has fully sunken into the role. I really wish there was someone else on as Elphaba for the 10th Anniversary. If they could've gotten Stephanie back it would of been a hella show, or even Donna being forced to be lead. Just don't get Stephen Schwartz if he wants it to be exciting. If he wants that, get Sasha Allen, Dan'yelle Williamson, or Morgan James. NOW THOSE WOULD BE HOT!

You know, Morgan James might be a viable replacement fir Glinda.
I mean yes she is a crazy high belter but she was also trained operatically and could be a sassy Glinda.

"I want Christina Decicco to come back."
She's doing 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark' right now. As I mentioned a couple of times I think Taylor Swift is more consistenet at singing in concerts and award shows than DeCicco's former co-star Victoria Matlock was at singing Stephen Schwartz's music eight times a week. And this is coming from a big Taylor Swift fan. Matlock's voice was too shrieky and she had trouble keeping up with the melody.
ETA: "I LOVE Kendra, I saw her on tour"
I really enjoyed her performance when I saw the tour in October 2005. Stephanie J. Block's performance also one of the biggest highlights for me.

1. It's not Kendra.
2. You cannot *force* someone to be lead. Where did that come from?
3. Lindsay is plenty exciting to many people, actually the vast majority, of those who have seen her.
4. Taylor Swift does not hold a candle to Victoria Matlock, nor would she be appropriate for any role in Wicked, with the possible exception of Dr. Dillamond.

Lol @flyignhighwithwicked ... Are you dumb or something? You obviously can't force someone to be lead. i was saying that to a lot of wicked fans having Donna Vivino being forced into doing Elphaba full-time would make their dreams come true. It's a joke. People take things way to seriously on the board. I have also heard people who didn't like her as Elphaba but liked her in general so who cares...

Yeah I'm really dumb :)
Of course it would be plenty of people's dream, mine included.
Are you talking about Victoria at the end? Yeah, I know a few people who don't like Victoria's Elphaba, but I loved her. I thought the Taylor Swift comparison was a little strange and I commented on it.
