Apparently, the website for Wicked in London is up (though my poor flash-deficient computer can't handle it!)

I'm going to be the downer here and say that I don't care very much for the changes to the logo. I think it looks a bit much with the 3D text and the flashes. Wicked is one of the few shows of the recent years that had an absolutely perfect logo: it represented the story you were about to see, but was also very simple. The embossing and flashes just make it look tacky and cheap.
It's Wicked: The Musical, not Wicked: The Experience, Live on Stage!!!

Posted: 1/19/06 at 12:21pmI like the new logo. It updates it and freshens it. Its a new show in London, its not the same show that's been running here for 4 yrs. I mean it is, but to their audiences its a brand new show. I love the picture of the two girls on Big Ben, makes it seem eery like Wicked is coming to take over. For some reason i'm excited for it to open now, though I have no chance of ever seeing it.

Posted: 1/19/06 at 1:13pmI agree that the new logo looks so interesting. I like the way the design looks. They should do something like that for New York, like in times square with the monkeys flying. I dont think they're having any problems with sales or enough of a problem to go and change the logo. I wish them the best. Is the wizard of oz as popular over in the UK as it is in the US? I wonder how that will affect the sales and popularity of it.

oh nice!
Ugh shows I'm a sucker for good marketing though now I want to buy tickets asap. Even though I swore I'd never see wicked againg unless it was because Stephanie J Block was in it... you know i'm going to see it here.

If you have an older version of Flash (like I do at work), you should be able to see the flash features by linking directly here:

What??????
The Producers, Les Mis, Phantom, Woman in White, Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot, We Will Rock You and Guys and Dolls are all the *big* shows in London. Not one has "bling" in its logo and all of those use the same logo that are on broadway.
I just find that post really misinformed and completely out the cricket pitch

Not sure if this'll work, I've never posted a pic. If I did something wrong, let me know.
