All the other major hits, Wicked, Jersey Boys, even Lion King offered the 2 for 1 this year so will BOM ever discount the show again. I remember in previews they were offering $$9 seats and I was stupid enough not to jump on it and now I refuse to pay $155 for rear mezz.
Any guesses what year discounts will start. I know all about supply and demand but hasn't the majority of the theater world seen it already?
If there's no need to discount it due to consistent high sales, then there won't be any discounts.
I saw 2 months after it opened. And, bought my discounted ticket right when previews started and all the good press & buzz was heating up. The day after I bought my ticket, all discount codes were pulled. And, the rest is box office history.
I realize that, i am wondering if there will ever be a need to offer them discounted, and when you might think this would happen? Starting to see Wicked up on TKTS and I never thought this would happen. Jersey Boys is up there all the time. Will it happen to BOM also?
No, it will be the first Broadway show to constantly sell out for all eternity.

How would anyone know that? Do you want us to look ahead in the future for you or something? See it on tour or wait 5 years if you want cheaper tickets. My friend paid $455 last week to see it. There are no discounts.
Yes. Row C, aisle. I refuse to see BOM simply because they didn't have to fight to get here. The creators didn't struggle. They didn't have have an out of town tryout. They didn't need backers. They simply wrote a check for the entire production because they could. They didn't have to pay their dues in New York theater, they just skipped to the head of the line. Screw Matt Stone and Trey Parker. They don't need to charge nearly half a thousand dollars to see their musical with absolutely no known names.
yep, a couple of times for 20%. I remember I was shocked. I saw Wicked a year ago for $40 front mezz. It was an Actor's Equity performance so the producers didn't give a hoot but nevertheless it was a discounted ticket.
Gee, Sutton, I heard they are all broken up about your high standards. You are really showing them.
(That's about the most ridiculous reason I've ever heard to not do something.)
You do realize that not all the tix cost that amount, right? I think your friend is nuts for spending that kind of money, but its his money, hope HE thought it was worth it.
Just do standing room. It's not as much of a trial these days.
What's the best nights (or days) to do standing room? And what time should I be there to be certain i can get them? Is it true that my son could not buy two without the other person being there/
To the OP: and all those other shows have a good number of years on BOM. They haven't even been running for 3 years yet.
Weeknights are easiest. Two tickets per person, and no, the other party doesn't have to be there until they go in for the show. $27 cash or charge. Your arrival time can vary depending on weather, but you could get there as late as four on some days (and you can do both lotto and standing room simultaneously). Even for tonight's evening show, a friend got in and only got in line around 3:30. There are 25-28 tickets available at every show.
Thanks, going to give it a shot in the next couple of weeks.
