Very cute, funny video RTC put out for their Drood nominees
I guess that means Drood isn't performing?

I would make no assumptions.
I would also think just the opposite....
This video could just be poking fun at the fact that even though the cast has disbanded, they could still perform one of the big company numbers?

No one from DROOD is performing. Not Will, not Stephanie.
I hope the cast of Drood does perform! The video says they won't but it's done in a tongue in cheek way so I will keep my fingers crossed!

I repeat: No one from DROOD is performing.
As I wrote back one of the old "What will shows perform?" threads, I believe Roundabout has never ponied up for a Tony performance for any production that had already closed. BIG RIVER, THE APPLE TREE, PACIFIC OVERTURES... there were more, but off the top of my head those three stand out as having not been represented. DROOD getting a performance to me would be a (delightful) shock.

BwayMama2... Do you have inside knowledge? If so, please tell.
Whether the cast performs or not, the video was a cute salute :)

The "Drood" Marquee is still up?
Well, that sucks. (Their not getting to perform, I mean.) I was really hoping they would.

I am baffled by the fact that the deck is still in there/they haven't fully loaded out.

The marquee will be there til the next show pays to take it down, as always. Removing a deck as simple as this is less than a day's work - and most of it is gone. Plus, it gives them a stage to work from should a one nighter or benefit comes in.

Loved it...saw the show twice, definitely would have seen it again. I remember doing it in college and no one had ever heard of it before - but by the end we all fell in love with it.
Wish Jim Norton had gotten a nod too, but it was a very competitive category.

Saw Robert Creighton last week at the LAST 5 YEARS, and asked him about a performance at the Tony's. He told me that the show was not going to perform at all.
Hope that settles everything.
Kbradstein is right, I was told by a friend in the production that a performance would sadly not be happening.
Not unexpected, but truly disappointing.

So sad that "Drood"will not be performing at Tony's. . Love the show!! It was the most fun interaction musical I've ever been to. The video is very cute and funny. Hope this is shown at Tony's and not dropped at last minute. It's a shame Round About doesn't wish to participate. What Scrooges!!!!
And yes...they are NOT performing at the Tony's. =-(
Haha pretty funny video.
Where is this place that is owned by Tony?
I wish that they were going to perform at the TONYS, but they closed so long ago, it is hard.
Scrooges? Do you know what kind of money we're talking abot here? Why should they throw money away? It's not like anyone enjoying a number they might perform will "do" anything.
I highly doubt that this video has any intention of being broadcast on the Tonys. (note: NO apostrophe)
