Motown is also running as a limited engagement.

www.motownthemusical.com
You literally only need to look at the homepage for this information.
They've also been pretty explicit about it being a limited run in their press releases.

Let's face it, Frozen wouldn't go to the Nederlander anyway. It's going to want a big broadway house for both capacity and also staging

"Depends on the replacement cast but Rotten may last longer than many think. I think it will outlast Fun who beat it for Best Musical . Time will tell."
I agree, think it will last longer than "Fun Home". The original cast is awesome, hope the replacements can keep it going.

The fact that an original musical with no out of town buzz can fill that theater and continue to run for over a year is pretty incredible! Wish producers would start spending money on original works as that seems to be what people want to see nowadays.

Just wondering something. I had always been under the impression that you don't announce the theatre a show is going into unless the theatre is dark or the show occupying it has posted a closing notice. I just find it odd that The St. James has been mentioned as the home to Frozen since Something Rotten has not posted a closing notice. I am not saying that Rotten is a show that is going to last forever. But, officially, as of right now, there has not been anything said about it closing. Anyone able to shed some light on this?

^ it was mentioned that it was "rumored" to be the st. James in many articles. So it's not official nor set.

The original source was the New York Post, and they didn't use the word "rumored". It's official set. Just not officially announced.

I read somewhere Rotten was now selling tickets thru 1/17. This does not guarantee anything but is interesting nonetheless

^ if that is the closing date for something rotten would jujamcyn want to keep the st. James dark for an entire year? Maybe they'll use something rotten as like a buffer and help it run until frozen gets in there.
