Will someone ever release the Lestat cast recording?

Im not saying it's good.

I'm not even saying the show was palatable.

Mainly, I'm just perplexed as to why the recording went to studio AND was recorded... and still not released?

I mean, come on, even Rosie released TABOO (i liked taboo, and Raul by extension, so don't think im knocking it)

Is the possible loss of money really that great? I'm asking here because all you Broadway Legends seem to have so much Broadway sense that a newbie such as myself does not.

My feeling, and I could be wrong, is that Elton John is embarrassed about being associated with such a horrible show and huge flop and has put the brakes on it and is stopping the release.

I enjoyed Lestat. But it might have been due to the fact that I saw Threepenny the same day.

I think it failed because it went about it seriously.

People bemoan shows that know they're ridicluous... but sometimes you just have to be absurd.

I think that it should be released through iTunes. However, it wouldn't surprise if it never does get released... Kind of sad, after all, some of the songs are actually good.

What cracks me up is that if this does eventually get released, most of the fans will have been away from the material for so long that they will probably realize how crappy it really was.
