Well, if anyone is against this thread, why do you participate.
I think most of the shows on Broadway right now are bad. The only 3 new musicals i ENJOYED were Jersey Boys, The Wedding Singer and Tarzan.

How would I know your answer? If I knew it..I wouldn't ask. I want to know what aspects of TARZAN and THE WEDDING SINGER you find better than DROWSY and SWEENEY.
"I don't wanna see that!" -Aunt Sassy (as played by Valerie Cherish) on Room & Bored
They were just not my cup of tea. For example when i saw Drowsy, the guy goes "i hope this show is not a waste of time or money" and i do think that everytime i go to the theatre, so it didn't seem amusing to me. I also find tacky that they make fun of Lestat's bad reviews, making fun of people who are going to be out of work is not funny to me. I didn't enjoy any song except for "I do in the sky" and "Show off", that were barely good in my opinion. But i don't really want to say anything negative about this show or Sweeney. I've done it too many times and it's enough. I wanna say positive things about the shows i liked.

ljay, I also disagree that Chicago is one of the worst shows and although I don't see how people can think that is the worst, don't you think you are a little out of control?
"They are obviously a Wicklyn with no life."
That is just pathetic. What do you think when you read these things? "Oh no, someone doesn't like Chicago, I obviously have to start making broad and unfair generalizations about the person whom I disagree with" Haven't you already done enough of that on the Mama Rose Recordings thread?
You obviously don't know me enough to realize, that I was making that comment with a complete sarcastic and sinister tone. Nothing serious was meant with that comment. Nor did I mean it. Though Zeitoujo is indeed a crazy Wicklyn.
Speaking of the Rose's Turn thread, don't make me get the Merman on you.
And also. How is CHICAGO the worst? It is one of the most acclaimed productions on Broadway right not, if not the most acclaimed. It's the longest running revival in history, and also is the most successful revival in history. The revival received UNBELIEVABLE reviews and acclaim from the critics, and has received a countless number of awards. There are productions happening all over the world. Including the very successful US National Tour, long running production on the West End, and I believe a London tour is happening too.
Nothing can stop this show. It is absolutely incredible, and BRILLIANT material. Hardly the worst show on Broadway.
There are about 20 shows playing on Broadway now that I would say are worse before ever declaring Chicago to be it. However, although I do love Tarzan which some have had plenty to say about, I find it to be theatrically one of the worst on broadway. Other than that, I haven't seen any that I can say are technically "the worst" shows and have everyone agree with me on
Tarzan I haven't seen, although I do have the cast recording and enjoy certain songs. I cannot imagine, however, it working well on Broadway, and am pretty much afraid to see it.
"I hated the cd and loved the show. The music isn't one of the best qualities, but it goes along very well with the show".
Dottie, read and learn! =) you can't just judge a show by the CD.

Chicago is a great production, but unfortunately, it's getting very stale like many long-running shows. It just happens. At least that was the case when i saw it last year. GREAT show gone stale. It happens...even to our favorite shows.
