The cops out here in Los Angeles busted a bunch of con men who were selling vast amounts of phony sports memorabilia online. Apparently, the thing that tipped the police off was a baseball offered on Ebay.
Guess it's not over as a different seller is now selling Fake signed playbills. Look at all of their auctions, I just posted a link to the Seminar signed playbill.
The thing that makes me laugh is the Daniel Radcliffe signed playbill totally does not look like his autograph and people are still bidding 86 dollars on it. RIDICULOUS! BAD EBAY SELLER
i actually noticed this seller last night as well as the closest thing he has actually signed would be darren criss's but even that looks real shady. does anyone know how we can report this seller. it would be a shame for him to be able to sell these obvious forgery's to an unsuspecting fan.
The Darren Criss one is fake. 100% sure. The seller said that it was on January 6th. I was there that night, and he used a BLACK Sharpie. That should solve that question once and for all since I even have a photo of him holding the sharpie outside the stage door that night.
I sent the seller an inquiry stating essentially what I said in my last post, and I got this, rather odd response:
"Dear abooth89,
Thank you. Seeing that I know the house manager, and I know when I was there and can prove it, I consider your email harassment. Did you have an actual question?
She also has sold and gotten buyer feedback on 4 other playbills "signed" by darren criss on that same evening according to her, as well as the 1 that currently is up for auction.
