Impressive for the producers, but they are a great ensemble onstage. Great news!
Whoo-hoo! Here's hoping ticket sales pick-up after the Tony Awards. If not --- that extension will be voided quicker than it was written-up.
Excellent news! SERIOUSLY!
I've gotta see this show!
I really hope I can see it over the summer when I go again to NYC.

YYYEEEEAAAAAA!!!!! Love this show!!!!!
Excellent news.
Business should pick up after the Tony nominations.
Yeah!!!
And wicked_beast-may i correct your signature?
It's: "Bitch, I don't know your life".
Thats very good news! I've not seen the show since November, I'll have to drag some friend who has yet to see it with me over the summer.
Pretty optimistic on the producers part. This is a show that has never had a sell-out week in a 600 seat theater. I also love how people are saying that the box office will pick up after the Tony's. Of course, if the myriad of noms that a lot of you are expecting don't materialize, the attendance could drop off even further.

Oh goodie! Now, if only the show will stay open long enough for me to make it into NYC to see it.

Does it have to sell out? No. If you look at last year's grosses the overwhelming majority of the time they were making money. The show only costs somewhere in the low 200,000 range to run per week. So as long as they're making above that, they aren't required to have a sell out house really. They had quite a few weeks over 300,000 and one at 460,000. I don't think they're being unduly optimistic.
It sold out on the April 23rd Matinee. Hence the SOLD OUT sign by the box office.

Does anybody know if Andre Ward's contract was extended, and if not, how long he'll be with the show?
Of course you will, jeff ! Did you really think you weren't the first person I thought of ?? Theres no XANADU for me without you !
I am excited as well. I have posted several questions over the past few months wondering if Cheyenne Jackson would extend as an article in The Advocate mentioned he was leaving. This is good news and I must see again!
Am I the only one who is going to cry if both Mary Testa and Jackie Hoffman don't get nominated for Tonys?
