The music industry has moved so much toward streaming as technology evolves. It also costs next to nothing to distribute an album digitally compared to producing physical CDs. Shows that aren't big sellers would be unlikely to be able to afford the additional cost of production on top of the cost of recording, mixing and mastering (and talent payment). It's unlikely that this will change in the future and we will likely see even fewer things released on CD.
I do love the vinyl trend, but I think those cost even more to physically print than a CD, which is why we really only see them for the juggernaut shows like Wicked and Hamilton.
Perhaps you'd be able to locate someone with a CD-RW drive who could be of assistance to making your dreams come true?

Bryan, you may want to consider moving into the streaming generation. It makes life much easier.
For 40 years I played Christmas carols on my front lawn during December. I had outdoor speakers wired into the sound system in my living room. It was fine
Last year my grandsons set me up with tiny bluetooth outdoor speakers which play uninterrupted music for 5 hours. I'm very happy with it and it's easy to use.
Don't be afraid of new technology. It may actually work out to your benefit.
