If you can get tickets, DEF go and see Jersey Boys. I don't generally like jukebox musicals, but Jersey Boys is incredible, I think.
What 5 shows have you already seen?

See Sunday in the Park with George. The musical is brilliant.
I mean, Denzel Washington? Gun to my head..of course.

With a question that vague, you'll get recommendations for almost every musical on Broadway.

What are your tastes? What shows have you seen, and which did you like the best? Then we'll get a better sense of what you like and which ones you may like even more.

The problem with posting such an open ended question on a broad site like this will the wide array of answers you get.

For every post you get about Spring Awakening being great, you will get one saying it sucks. That goes for just about any show out there.

Perhaps tell us your favorite and least favorite theatre experiences would help...then we'd know what type of shows "work" for you.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

I've seen Spring Awakening. I loved it, but it's...not everyone's cup of tea. If you want upbeat songs, don't go.
I know you. I know you. I know you.
