hi do you guys think that elf and verge will get a cast cd made of them.
I'm sure VERGE will get one, especially given the cast. And ELF will probably have one as well if for no other reason then for them to sell it in the lobby.

VERGE pre-order forms have been at the theatre since the first performance. They were selling it as a pre-order with free shipping for $30. Aka...the usual theatre merchandise table pricing - almost double the standard retail.
Isn't it super rare for a Broadway show not to have a cast album?
What shows DON'T have a cast album? Imma start a new thread!

The 2009 BYE BYE BIRDIE Broadway Revival didn't have a cast recording -- AND it was the very first Broadway revival EVER for that production.
The 2004 LA CAGE AUX FOLLES didn't get a cast recording -- AND it waas the very first Broadway revival EVER for that production.
Close your eyes, open up the book 'Not Since Carrie,' and point. You're likely to land on a musical that did not receive a cast recording.
But in recent memory, In My Life, Dance of the Vampires, and, um, Carrie did not receive cast recordings.

Madonna was bring sarcastic because Bryan always starts a ton of threads about that kind of stuff.
IF Madonna is truly new, s/he would not know Bryan's background.
It costs gads of money to produce, and some producers aren't willing to put even MORE money into a show that might not be heading toward recoupment.
Yes, Bryan posts a lot about cast CDs. And whoever takes issue with that, will have to deal with me because I won't tolerate anyone being mean to or making fun of him. Ever.
You can take issue with that without being "mean" to him. (And was anyone?)
People are always mean to Bryan and it just seemed that's where it was headed so just wanted to nip it in the bud. :)

I hope they do make a cd of ELF. I didn't think it was that great on the whole BUT I would buy the cd.There were a couple of a good numbers that would probably sound even better divorced from the cheap sets and lackluster dances.I still don't think Santa would eat Doritos,I see him with a bagel and lox.

It is rumored that Ghostlight will record Women.

Really? It was "rumored" that a record label owned and run by the leading actress of the show in question would record it? Was it really?
That's not really a rumor, lol. Sherie Rene Scott is co-founder of Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight records.

Okay, PiraguaGuy, yer a barrel of laffs. Yes, it has been rumored. It certainly has not been confirmed with that standard of truth, the official press release.
Elf is not listed on the shows Website but doubtless it will be in the theater.
With the all star cast, I have no doubt Women will be recorded
I know it's a brand-new show opening cold on Broadway, but they should have recorded ELF awhile ago so the CD would be available during it's holiday rush. You know many people would impulse buy the CD right after seeing the show. Not months later.
