hi all, may have missed this-is there any official or unofficial word on the current fiddler revival touring after it closes in december?
Isn't their whole gimmick a hole in the stage, which isn't tour-able.
I'm picturing this literally- a traditional Fiddler, but with a gaping bottomless pit just left of center. Tevye falls in the hole at one point, all the dances just carefully avoid the hole no one ever looks into, and during the finale, everyone climbs very carefully down into the hole, disappearing from sight.
It is currently listed on The Booking Group website...

Forgive my ignorance, was there really a hole in the revival?? I have not seen it.

Shows come and go from The Booking Group's website all the time. I wouldn't base anything on that.
It was announced today that there are plans for the current revival to go on tour beginning Fall 2018...

Is there any news about this tour? I checked their website, but it doesn't seem to say anything. Or is this going down the same track as spring awakening and several tours "announced" that never end up happening. Figured I'd ask just in case I missed something

Without the people coming out of the back for "Tradition" it's a pretty traditional, by the books revival, no?
^if billy elliot could make it look like the miners were actually descending on its tour, I'm sure Bart and company can figure out a way to make it seem like the cast of fiddler is ascending on its tour.
Oh yeah? that's cool! I never saw it on tour - loved it on Bway though - but would love to see that (re: Billy Elliot)
