I know who Andrew Loyd webber is but why was the joke about him so hillarious?
And "my tony awards wont keep me out of Betty Ford" What does that mean?
thank you, I am a slow learner.

"Smart! And into all those exotic mystiques -- The Kama Sutra and Chinese techniques. I hear she knows more than seventy-five. Call me tomorrow if you're still alive!"
well, for me, Andrew Lloyd webber sucks so it was funny when they made fun of him. but it wasn;t only him. It was other musicals too, like Les Mis.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree. ~Dirty Rotten Scoundrels~
There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel. ~Curtains~
It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known. ~A Tale of Two Cities ~
Because it seems the only joke that exists is to bash ALW. So why should Spamalot turn from this? I guess because the creative team needed to fill out the time, since the movie is shorter.
In her interviews, Sarah Ramierez stated she didn't get much of the humor as well. Understandable. This show is geared towards us wacky, middle aged, Anglophile nut heads, and their admirers, and it's great to see there are so many of us out there.
most of the humor is very English....it gets lost in the translation, if you get my drift....how many people think that thing about birds and coconuts is funny?
yeah, i guess it sort of helps if you are british. sometimes its awesome, sometimes its a curse

In every interview I have heard Sara has never said she didn't get the humor. She did saw that she had never seen the movies, then rented them for the audition and said she totally got it and thought it was hysterical. In fact, she also has stated that Mike Nichols said to her after seeing her first rehearsals....she wasn't supposed to be funny, so obviously she incoroprated more humor into the part than originally planned.
eric idle said on a tv show that he makes fun of ALW because he is so popular and its laughing at the good, and the good can take it. its not laughing at the unsuccessfull,
