Would anyone have any experience with this one- took my mom (she is 90) to see Wicked- one song past intermission she had a medical episode and was unconscious- 2 men carried her out of the theatre to the lobby and laid her on the floor and they called for an ambulance- anyway we missed half the show, anyone have any luck getting tickets replaced for something like that? My mom is so sad that she didn't get to see the end of the show!

I would check with Ticketmaster and explain your situation...Is that the way you purchased the tickets?

Glad your mother is alright. Was at the show last wednesday when I think this happened and was very concerned.

Yes, I would contact Ticketmaster and see how to contact the house manager as well. I cant imagine they wouldnt try to be accommodating.

I do hope your mother is ok! Happy Holidays to you both!

Something similar happened at Frozen when I was there. A young girl went into anaphylactic shock. It was before the show started though and the whole family ended up getting tickets to another show. Even 2 or 3 of them that stayed in the theatre.

Start with the House Manager and theater management.  They would most definitely  have record of the incident (or they should)  I really don't see any problem with them reissuing you new tickets.  Ticketmaster for sure, could be an issue.

Actually, Nederlander is the only Broadway company to have all the supervisory staff, plus direct numbers for all their theatres on Broadway. I am typing this on my phone so I cant link it, but if you go to their website all this is listed theatre by theatre.

Furthermore, there is always someone there whos job it is to man the phone. If you speak to them, they can direct you to the person to talk to and help you out with your situation. I can personally attest to the staff at the theatres being helpful:

I would do this and I wouldnt even try tickmaster. When it comes to theatre, I find that even though theres a direct line for broadway they are oblivious when it comes to solving an issue.

it it was last Wednesday-I have to say so many people were so helpful   Lady next to me cradled her while I ran for help so she didn’t slump out of her chair, two men got up and carried her out, a dr and a nurse both left their seats and came out to help along with a clergywoman from OK. And her sister and a few others.  The staff called the ambulance for us and security stayed with us until we got in the ambulance   It  was scary as heck   My mom had a cardiac episode which she is ding treated for now and is ok

Glad to hear mum is on the mend!  And of course, while we shouldn't be surprised, how lovely to hear of the many people that came to help, staff and audience members alike.

And yes, the peeps above are right...start with the house manager/box office staff if you can.  Hope it all works out for you.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I've had positive experiences with theatre management in extenuating circumstances and I suspect that the Girshwin will happily provide you with tickets for another performance. Ticketmaster, on the other hand, will probably be a complete waste of time.
