I was happy, I didn't think a sequel would be good anyway! The movie was great, think about it like a Disney movie, sequels are never that good.
I thought it was all a flash in the pan. It wasn't until Broadway came along that I felt I had really made it. -Julie Andrews

Intersting that he's saying the runmor is false and NOT that the project is over.

Hm.

But I agree....thank goodness. There is no more story to tell.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I screamed with joy when I saw this. There is no sense in Adam Shankman ruining something that is already wonderful as is.

His phrasing is bad, but the "that got killed" part refers to the movie, not a rumor.

Good call. Hairspray is a classic-let's just keeps things as is. :) Plus, the kids are getting to old to reprise roles.
