You can say that again.
He's no more a Jesuit priest than I'm a Carmelite nun. It takes twelve to fifteen years to become a Jesuit--it's not possible to take final vows at age twenty-six, as he stated.
And is his "nurse friend" the same one who told him Ann Reinking had Lyme disease?
What a sick f..k. But he's praying for us!
Cannot believe this poster boy for banning is still being allowed to post.

nomdeplume--
Freedom of expression goes both ways. Isntitromantic has the right to make her avitar whatever she wants. If it were something that were TRULY offensive, I would agree with your request, but there's nothing wrong with having a crucifix as your icon (even if it is a bit strange). Additionally, there was clearly no irreverence intended, as was stated by her post, and you should have the same respect for other people's rights as you expect them to have for yours.
That being said, this post truly does suck and I hope this is one of the lasts posts on it.

The Distinctive Baritone, though I respect your post and postings, we differ here. I am with kjklo as to the insincerity of that poster, and freedom of speech on this Message Board should not include the right to denigrate someone's religion in such an offensive manner.
Further, Ms. Wasserstein is Jewish.
I think it would be very nice if someone who can write Hebrew would post a Hebrew prayer here for her if that is allowed, perhaps also with an English translation.

ha ha ha!! i grew up around jesuits and no jebby would be posting on a BWW board. jesuits are among the most highly educated, cultured (and egotistical) people on earth and would not deign to write on a message board frequented by 14 year old rentheads.
ok "father" what is the meaning of:
"sanctus itis apis spotanda bigone spiritus"-- and who said it?

All due respect, nomdeplume, I didn't want to get into this and I'm sure everyone is tired of this but, freedom of speech does and should include the right to denigrate someone's religion. That's one of the reasons we have freedom of speech. You are completely within your rights to say you find it offensive, but your threats were a little spooky. I also don't think that this person was trying to denigrate any religion.
