I think I was still on my first screen name the first time this video was posted.
And I became a Legend on this thread.
Oh, the memories!

well when in rome...
MARC SHAIMAN IS A MOST TALENTED COMPOSER AND A HIGHLY VALUED MEMBER OF BWW. WE LOVE YOU!!!
And I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
I love Hairspray. I think it has a wonderful score. Thank god for people like Marc Shaiman who give Broadway wonderful shows, with original scores.
KEEP 'EM COMING MARC!
I wonder how I will feel about Marc once RealPlayer downloads and I watch this recording? I am sure my praise will increase three-fold.

Unfortunately, the video was created in my early days with BWW, so I was not mentioned.
And neither was Gunn.
Hence why he so strongly campaigned to be in the next one.
(Hey Marc, will I be put in the next one? If so, would you please put me right next to Gunn...? *sigh*)

I don't even know what the second and third things you mentioned are.
I'm guessing generic Australian things...
But one never knows

A Didgereedoo is an Aboriginal musical instrument made from a hollowed tree branch, which is blown, and due to the vibration of the lips can be used to make animal sounds.
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is a hugely famous Australian film starring Guy Pearce as a drag queen in the Aussie Desert. I'm surprised you hadnt heard of it...

Marc Shaiman is a Genius!!!
Dame is my favourite. It's just how I imagaine him/her.
And mistress, what is that about the gypsy overture and befriending a nigel-no-friends?

well, imagine my shock to check into BWW this morning and to see my "video" had risen from the ashes!
how nice to be remembered in these, my declining years
Paradox Error, you will have to actually have to go listen to "Pick A Little" from THE MUSIC MAN to understand the word play (like the use of the word "overture")
be a good lad and go now, run off and buy that cast album!!
I might even play a didgereedoo in the next one...if there IS a next one

well I've listened to The Music Man and seen the film, but it was a while ago...I can't remember the lyrics. But I've now had the song running through my head for about 2 hours...so thankyou!
but that really is a wonderful ode to BWW.com, and the characters are spot on! I'm truly impressed.

I wish I could know everyone on this board. I wish there were no Wicklyns on this board.
*sigh*
Hi broadwaybaby. I'm Jamie. Nice to meet you!
Hey there Eddie Varley. I've never spoken to you, but you're somewhat infamous around here.
