Flowery I cannot believe you don't know what a digereedooo is! You have dissapointed me beyond typing! *runs from the room sobbing*(Not really but I am in a dramatic mood tonight.)

Marc...I spent all day at work with "pick-a-little, post-a-little" running through my brain. I couldn't get it out. I had to watch it again, because it was so funny! Well Done! A suppliant at your feet I kneel.
so Mr. Shaiman, when is Hairspray coming to Australia? I really want to see it. I like the soundtrack a lot, but it really strikes me as the sort of show you just have to see. And it is the sort of show my mother would like! (i think) I have the most placid tastes in music for a teenage boy...and my mother complains! "Why do you listen to this Sondheim stuff?!?!?!" oy But she likes what she has heard of Hairspray (although she's never heard me sing "Mama, I'm A Big Girl Now...i think she'd die)
not true!! I've often spoke of my ability to perform "SOMEONE IN A TREE" at the drop of a hat (a bowler hat, that is)
as a matter of fact, I am signing off now to go see SWEENEY TODD here in London, where it is being performed by like 3 people with a tissue and comb I hear
I love that song. That is a complete Eargasm for me. As is most of Pacific Overtures.
I hoe you like this Sweeney. Haven't heard about this production, but assuming they have a good Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett, then the production will still be enjoyable.
Although I like Hairspray, I am a Sondheim boy first and foremost.
You'll just have to keep writing more musicals, and perhaps I will be a Shaiman and Wittman boy then too...
I'm a sixteen year old sondheim Lover, and I am wild for Hairspray, and cannot wait for your "catch me if you can." Yeah, however many times I listen to "SOmeone in A tree" or "Putting it together," the greatest theatrical experience I have ever had was sitting in the audience of Hairspray, next to Fannie Baker, may I add. Hope she liked it, despite religious condemnations and all.
WHo am I kiddin-surreal life! Anyways, this video makes me laugh to tears- hussy 'specially,
and boy, the chutzpah you showed on that tony telecast. Ya cannot imagine whatit meant to a sixteen year old boi like myself.
PS- You get a dollar for me for that one. You're on your way out of serfdom.
So the show was fabulous? care to give any details?
Love-Brad
"Yesterday is done. See the pretty countryside. Merrily we roll along, roll along- catching at dreams."- Merrily we roll along
"The living was the prize, the ending's not the story."- Elegies, a song cycle

Gunn, I'm sorry for disappointing you with my lack of knowledge. Feel free to come visit me sometime and lecture me on these new interesting things I'm not familiar with. Just call first and tell me you're coming so that I can clean my room and make myself pretty.
~Marc~ The talk of "that Wicked show" will die down soon enough. And gosh darn it, I want to see you wearing a boa again. And perhaps posing with a flower and pretending to be me... I'm just saying, it's not a bad idea to plan for the future... Don't make me use mind control tactics. (on another note, I agree with you that Mr. Error looks adorable. And I hear he has an Australian accent...)
"STOP EMBARRESSING ME!!! My cheeks are burning so much it hurts!!!"
Fine, if you insist. But I still adore you. And remember... Next time you visit the US, you're bringing along a straight friend for me
"What is it with young men and insisting on singing womens songs? I always enjoy singing a female song over a male one"
Strangely, I prefer singing men's songs. Like all the Jamie songs from L5Y. (I do an excellent "Moving Too Fast", and a pretty good "A Miracle Would Happen") Also, being a low alto in a women's college, I end up singing men's parts of duets a great deal. (Cannot tell you how many times I have been Seymour in "Suddenly Seymour" or Roger in "Light My Candle".)
"Hence why he so strongly campaigned to be in the next one."
I recall NO such campaigning I am much too humble! Besides when you get too self important you end up like....oh wait. (just kidding) Haha and I can't claim to be humble when it comes to my signature, but I do try. Really I do in all other circumstances.
All this talk reminds me when i was doing tech for Les Mis. As Eponine was dying we were sitting behind the barricade doing nothing for several scenes before we had to turn it again so every night we reenacted A Little Fall of Rain behind the barricade as it was going on in front of the barricade. It became more and more detailed every night. I of course played Eponine and the ASM played Marius.

~ff~ You're on! It'll have to be reciprocal though...I love a man with an accent as much as the next person... Or you can come to Australia!
and I love singing Cathy's songs...I'm climbing uphill daddy...
But I do a mean "If I didn't believe in you". Jamie suits me a lot (ironically)...I think my voice sounds a bit like Norbert's...(i recorded me singing part of If i didn't believe in you on my phone and played it back and it sounded quite a lot like Norbert).
But once again this is becoming about me... HAIRSPRAY IS EASILY ONE OF THE BEST SCORES OF THIS MILLENIUM!!!
