Did I mention I want to be dressed in Burberry for the next video?
"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher
Ok here I delivered it as promised though it's a little late. Extra points to whoever can tell what it originally was.
Marc Shaiman's eyes are nothing like the sun; Coral is far more red, than his lips red: If snow be white, his hair's a winter field; If hairs be wires, white wires fall from his head. I have seen roses damasked, red and white, But no such roses see I in Marc's cheeks; And in some perfumes is there more delight Than in the breath that our Marc Shaiman reeks. I love to hear him speak, yet I do know His music hath a far more pleasing sound: I grant I never saw a Greek God go, Marc Shaiman, when he walks, treads on the ground: And yet by heaven, our Marc is as rare, As any he belied with false compare.
My avatar is a reminder to myself. I need lots of reminders...
Right under my nose!Well, while my Unicorn Bookstore stories might have lacked a poetic flow, the content was still, AMAZING!
But even I, ToadyBootlicker #1 have to hand it to you Son, BRAVO!
In the meantime I shall TRY and write a small bit of whimsy about my beloved Marc...either that or send RSR to contain this madness! Off to download some more Pick-a-Little magic!
Walnut You come to me at closing with a walnut in your hand. At first you squeeze and hide it like some treasure in the sand, In the middle of the walnut there is a twenty dollar bill, but you don't care about it, for your heart you need to fill. And if the other's chuckle and say you are real bad, I'll laugh and crack the walnut, and be your special lad. Don't worry if this scars me for future relastionships, at least I got my Boba and that was worth the trips. There's so many things I've done that may seem quite obscene, but worry not my paperhanger our love no one has seen.
Shaiman Limerick "Marc Shaiman writes music so sweetly, His lyrics engage you completely. He creates with such flair. That Sondheim can't compare, thus securing his TONY concretely"
This is an updated ending to the limerick as my previous finale was incorrect as it went like this; "and Fred Ebb says he's sneaky and cheeky." My bad! Actually it's the THIRD ending, and I had expert help on finishing it! Maestro, say it works! I'm on the ledge! Updated On: 6/22/04 at 08:38 AM
well, in the spirit of "you always hurt the one you love"...
WHATSA MATTAH VARLEY, YOU NEVER WENT TA SCHOOL??
YOUR ATTEMPT AT A CORRECTION STILL SUFFERS FROM THE WRONG CONSONANT!!
Eddie Varley was once quite the praiser Now he points to his wrist with a razor because Son Of A Gun is my new Honey Bun And I feel bad that Tzeitel dissed Lazur

A lover of the theater, a TONY award-winning composer and a member of the tribe and you can't spell Lazar correctly. You must not have had your morning pancakes yet...

Gunn, I think that you've missed the point of the "Pick-A-Little, Post-A-Little" if you're rejecting compliments from taking previously written work and giving it a new spin. Go watch the video again.
And Marc, I would love to see you around the website more. It's nice to that it's easy to find you, what with you only posting on your own threads and all. But Marc, these boards are so great to explore. And the chat room's kinda fun, too.
I try to only post in threads about me or HAIRSPRAY cause commenting on other peoples work would be a dangerous, slippery slope for me (being a fabulous show biz big shot and all)
wait, I DO post in the RightSaidRick threads!!!!
and tonight at THE FROGS, there was the entire Shakespeare sonnet SOAG quoted and boy, was my face red that I hadn't recognized the old fart!

Sorry "Blame Canada" didn't get selected for the top 100. In your honor, however, I did play that part of the South Park movie last night. I love the enthusiam of the M.A.C.!
And, glad you remembered to mention RSR in your previous post because he certainly remembers you... I assume he'll be paying you a visit when is released from that "special" facility.
Be Afraid! :o)
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?
Congrats and all to FF, but someone be nice and start a thread in the Off-Topic area for our dear lil' Flower, 'round here it's Shaiman PRAISE and RAISE...And our Mr. Show Biz Big Shot has a lot to be praised about, Hairspray has gotten wonderful new notices, it's a hit all over again, "shout outs" to not only Mr.S, but Scott,Mark,Tom,Margo,John Waters, that AMAZING cast, the chorus is the BEST on Broadway, it's new leading lady, well, "ladies" haha, the AMAZING Jerry Mitchell and Jack O'Brien and all the people who make "Good Morning Baltimore" come alive every night!
I might have to make a new poem about this......ok, ,ok, I won't!
As I wrote Lazur, I knew it looked wrong, but I was insanely late for my flight and hit "post", knowing full well I was embarrassing myself with an error within a correcting post...
Oy, what a shanda I have brought to my people...nebech!!
Craig, so sorry for the tzuris I have caused...to make amends, I am personally going to circumcise RightSaidRick later today when he brings me my lunch
I, for one, was devasted when you misspelled Lazar. Shattered my whole, unhealthy illusion that Tony-winning composers are actually creatures far superior to humans.
