1. Struggling to see the actors because of the obscenely dim lighting and falling asleep, jet lagged, about 3 or 4 times during the longer than usual lead-up to "Send in the Clowns".
2. Watching Ramona Mallory eating the minimal scenery for all it was worth (which according to the recent recoup was more than it looked) and performing Anne as if she were the wife in the vibrator play if she were a horse.
3. Erin Davie getting no laughs in a role I thought was impossible not to laugh at.
4. Catherine Zeta Jones being more beautiful in person than on film. Which I didn't think was possible.
5. Aaron Lazar, Leigh Ann Larkin, and Alexander Hanson's superb performances.
6. Angela Lansabury triumphing despite being hopelessly miscast.
7. Trevor Nunn's countless confusing and misguided "choices".
Aaron Tveit in NIGHT MUSIC sounds like one of my fantasies :P.
[only because the post was edited, there was a typo above where it said Tveit and not Lazar]
Fulfilling my wish of seeing my hero, Angela Lansbury, on a Broadway stage. I'll never forget it.
I feel lucky to have have seen Lansbury & CZJ in their final performance, as well as Stritch & Peters in their penultimate performance. As much as I loved all their performances, and the show itslef, I fear my lingering memory will be Stritch struggling onstage.
My favorite Charlotte is defiantly Maureen Moore. Just watch the video below and you'll see what I mean. I love the way she says "disgusting" and how's she's letting out her feelings the way a woman of that time would: devastated but restrained.
Maureen Moore in ALNM
She was hilarious each time I saw her.C
Maureen Moore as Charlotte is pure genius. Ever gesture has intention and every word has nuance. The way she shoots the side-eye to Anne the first time Anne chimes in during "Everyday A Little Death" is brilliant. She barely moves throughout the entire song but communicates volumes.
I'm going to go re-watch her doing the "Drinks on the Terrace" scene again now...

Yes, I was going to point out the perfection that is Maureen Moore as well
I will never forgot the one Wed eve performance where Stritch skipped over half of Liaisons, was prompted for every line by the voice of God, and stopped the song at one point to say "Your going to have to give me more help than that"
I saw her two other times and can say that she did not always struggle to that degree, but I will never forget that performance. Some of the strangest character choices I have ever seen...

I'll never forget this one particular moment during "The Glamorous Life." Bernadette sings, "I'll come for a visit and argue," and Elaine laughs and kisses the letter as she's wheeled off. That killed me every time.
^ Same!!! Elaine's reaction to the letter was beautiful.

^It's great that she wanted to make the character her own, but her overall performance seemed too full of heart for the character of Madame Armfeldt. As someone who allowed herself to be guided in her liaisons (and life) by a shrewd use of discretion, it just never rang as believable for me that she chose to show such spontaneous moments of love and affection.

i have to give bernadette HUGE credit for not missing ANY performances and elaine for missing only 1.
This production was truly amazing. Even though Elaine spoke all of Liasons, she killed it during my show. Bernadette look right at me and my friend during the curtain call, as well, so that's a moment I'll never forget. I love the whole opening number, and the quintet kicked butt. (Also hearing Erin Stewart warm up back stage was quite amusing :) )
