I don't know if it's wide spread but at my high school it was a little out of control, everyone dressing as cats and such, plus i'm sure people are going to see idina in the cat suit and think it's a josie ripoff.
Anyone know if she actually sang in Josie, i know that Kay Hanley , from letters to cleo did the lead girls voice.

I love Rosario, and grant it, I love Daphne, but I'm glad that Rosario is the replacement and not some Brittany Spears/Ashanti no-talent.

I also think it's wonderful that Rosario is gaining much attention to this film. People are going to see this, and it will be a huge hit.

Well, quite frankly, I'm most interested in Rosario right now because the movie hasn't come out yet and she's the one that no one has seen perform the role -we all know what Idina, Adam, etc. are going to be like, but Rosario?

Posted: 8/15/05 at 8:21ami'm excited to see rtosario as well... but i am anxious to see Out Tonight - it might be softer and more seductive than the original which was more hard core and loud. but more than rosario, i am excited to see how the OBC have grown in acting ability, and how certain stage moments are translated onscreen (the fight between mark and roger, or teh recognition by roger that mimi is HIV pos, or when Angel gets sick.) things like that will be great to see as different or deeper interpretations.

rosario contributed vocals to the soundtrack of "josie", an outkast song and a re-mixed version of prince's "1999" entitled "rosario 1999".
she will be singing in the upcoming production of "two gentlemen of verona" at the delacorte theatre so those of you in NYC interested in hearing if she has any "vocal chops" should head on down there.

And let's face it. Nobody's going to sound like Daphne; her voice is one of the most unique I've ever heard. But that doesn't mean Rosario's can't be totally beautiful in its own way.

True, Daphen has a extremly unique voice, so i geuss Rosario will never be able to sound like her. I'll miss Daphen as Mimi yet, i really am looking foward to seeing Rosario as Mimi. I am dieing to see how Adam and her work together.

Does Rosario really have that big of a "teen" following? I know she's more famous than the OBC members, but I never really thought her fanbase was one of all teenagers, or something. She's done a lot of good work, it seems; and not all stuff that would be geared toward teens.

Kind of off topic, but does anyone know when they update the rent movie site, i know it's every Monday and wensday but is it usually during the afternoon? I want to see Anothony do an Adam video interveiw (like he's been doing with the other cast members), though i don't know if Adam would do that...Lol.

I never thought that Rosario had that big of a following either, but apparently if your in Sin City, then you must be a pretty big star. 
Actually, I have no idea... I just know she was in Josie and the Pussycats, Men in Black II... and other movies I guess people know her from.

That the people in the movie are well over any of the ages mentioned in the movie... and they definitely don't look the ages said either. I could care less, but just a thought.

Rosario's much younger than the rest of them, by the way - by almost ten years. I'm not sure how old Tracie is, but Rosario is definitely much younger than the OBC members.

wow... I honestly did not know that. It's exciting though, I definitely agree with you that the entire film cast is really hot. I love every single one of them, and I think remember seeing TMOLM with Tracie and Idina thinking... they are both hot, and very lucky.

She was born in May of 1979, according to IMDB - so that makes her... 26.

yes. so she's about a decade, give or take a few years younger than the original OBC. she was at the most 15 or 16 when RENT premiered on Broadway.

And about Tracie Thoms, I can't pretend to know anything about her... but she did mention in her blog that she auditioned for the part of Joanne during the OBC, and almost gave up Juillard for it...

Right, I remember almost having a heart attack when I realized that Rosario was almost nine years younger than Adam.
