110 in the Shade
And how 'bout a near-perfect group of people who've already worked together -- I want the Pasadena Playhouse cast, dammit.
That could go the same for the Actors' Fund benefit cast of HAIR.

AIDA again...I already miss it so much
Only change...Taye Diggs as Mareb...o c'mon you know that would be awesome!
Gross. Give AIDA to the wolves of community theatre.
Wicked with Dakota Fanning...you know that girl is gonna control the universe soon.

Idk, I saw Guys and Dolls on tour and that Adelaide was kinda young. Its just wishful thinking, if they were around the same age :) I think they sound perfect for the parts. Kerry with the accent. I think if they revived Guys and Dolls, they should add the song "Adelaide" from the film to give Nathan some more singing opportunities

sorry Eden Espinosa could NEVER pull of a part that requires "acting, or singing"

Che: Raul Esparza
Sweeney Todd:

For some reason, I could always see Bernadette Peters playing Lovett, she is great with Sondheim
A CHORUS LINE *its coming back though!*
I have no idea of who to cast though...all Ive got to say is:
Cassie- GOD IF BERNADETTE WAS YOUNGER...!

Theatreguy2: Evita would be a horrible flop
I was in that show and it sucked...the music is poorly written with horrible "harmonies" that i needed to cover my ears for...
O and btw: I don't get how anyone could think Eden is so bad. I mean she was the u/s for Idina. That def says something about her voice and how its AMAZING. Obviously your opinion...is not a fact

anyone in a broadway musical has to have a decent to amazing voice, both Idina and Eden are more towards the amazing point lol.

I honestly dont see her appeal. I think she has one of the worst voices I have ever heard in my life. The first time I heard her was on chaterbox singing defying gravity....I thought it was a joke. I was so embaressed for Wicked when Eden was on as Elphaba.
I can't see why Bernie shouldn't play Ms. Lovett. I don't know why she hasn't. She'd be amazing.

I have heard many reviews saying that at the time she was better at some performances than Idina
and Derek: youre right they are both amazing
To get to Broadway means something, no matter what other people say
I want a revival of "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" maybe with Reba as Miss Mona? I don't know about other choices, but I just want to see the show done. And I really would love it if "Finian's Rainbow" got a revival too.

SOUTH PACIFIC starring Reba Macintyre.
Revive anything you want... Just put Michael Arden as the lead. It's time for that boy to have a real chance at Broadway stardom!
I think Bernadette WOULD have been a fabulous Mrs. Lovett a few years ago. Sweeney is a terribly hard score, and Ms. PEters had some trouble handling Gypsy. I think if it came back for a small limited engagement or a one night concert she'd be phenomenal---my first pick. But I don't think she could ever handle it eight times a week; based on what I saw in Gypsy.
Gavin would make an amazing Antony, though.
But Merman, Lansbury, Daly and Buckley, among others, all had trouble singing Gypsy eight times a week. I wouldn't necessarily hold that against Bernadette Peters.
Much as I admire Peters, I'm not dying to hear her take on Mrs. Lovett. I'd STILL love Patricia Routledge to sing that role, even though she's too old for it now. And of the current crop of musical theatre performers, I wouldn't mind hearing Carolee Carmello, Nancy Opel or Sally Mayes take it on.
" SOUTH PACIFIC starring Reba Macintyre."
I don't know if you know this but Carnegie Hall is going to present a one night only concert version of South Pacific starring Reba as Nellie on June 9th. Maybe you can talk your parents into flying you out for it.
