who do we think will be nominated? I know there will probably be some great supporting turns in Curtains and perhaps Legally Blonde (Oref). does anyone think Celia Keenan-Bolger has a shot at a nomination, so far the only true frontrunner is the older woman from Grey Gardens.
thoughts?
My guesses would be:
Mary Louise Wilson
Karen Ziemba
Rebecca Luker
Celia Keenan-Bolger
Barbara Walsh
Other possibilities: Someone from ACL (Alisan Porter would be my personal choice), Elizabeth Stanley, Orfeh, Carla Duren, Ali Ewoldt, Jill Paice, Erin Davie

I think Natalie Cortez, Celia Keenan-Bolger, and Aaron Lazar are the only three from the xerox revivals with any chance of a nomination. They will not neccasariliy be getting them, but of anyone in those chose, they have a shot.
I found Walsh' LADIES WHO LUNCH a let down, but that's just me.
Linda Balgord is terrific in THE PIRATE QUEEN.
Natalie Cortez? Not unless it's a different Natalie Cortez than the actress with the same name whom I saw in A CHORUS LINE.

^ I don't know, I haven't seen her. But I seem to recall her getting a decent buzz.
you mean, "getting decent buzz," right? unless you were at a kegger with her or something...
I'm with AC1 - if anyone from that show gets a supporting nod, it should be Porter.
But, Erin Davie should have that spot over her.

LOL. I agree completely.
Mary Louise Wilson will win. Has there been anyone else as good as her so far? Has anyone else had a moment like she had at the end of the show like her? If she doesn't win, I think the only other worthy candiate would be Barbara Walsh. I thought her performance was quite good, actually. But I'm pulling for Wilson. She was superb!
No one from A CHORUS LINE will be nominated.
Possible:
Karen Ziemba, CURTAINS
Mary Louise Wilson, GREY GARDENS
Also in contention:
Barbara Walsh, COMPANY
Erin Davie, GREY GARDENS
Orfeh, LEGALLY BLONDE
Rebecca Luker, MARY POPPINS
Linda Balgord, THE PIRATE QUEEN
Celia Keenan Bolger, LES MISERABLES
Daphne Rubin Vega, LES MISERABLES
Capathia Jenkins, FAME BECOMES ME
Looks like Mary Louise will win her Tony.
We haven't seen everything yet, but from what's out there so far, I would definitely give it to Wilson. My issue is I think she's a lead, not featured, but there is no way the producers would pit their two stars against each other, so she'll be submitted as Featured.
ETA Jenkins does not deserve a nom for one song - a song that didn't come close to showing her off, by the way - the laziest "showstopper" ever written. Not with this field.
While Wilson is the front runner.
It would be oh so fabulous to have Walsh take it. She has come a long way with her LADIES.
If it were up to me, I wouldn't even nominate Walsh.

Why, her role is larger and more impressionable than most this season. Definitely Wilson, Ziemba, and Walsh will see a nomination is my prediction.
i thought that Capathia Jenkins was fantastic in FBM, i definitely think it would be insane to give her a Tony nom for literally one song, but i also know stranger things have happened: see Adrianne Lenox in Doubt.
I thought the rest of the cast worked much harder and had to show much more range than she did. I would give a nom to Vivino but she's not eligible, and I didn't see Parker.

What about any of the SA ladies? I think the only one with a big enough role is Lauren Pritchard (sp?)... but I thought she was really great!
Pritchard has an amazing voice, but her acting was really bad, I thought.
If I had it my way, Walsh wouldn't get a nomination. I don't feel like her LADIES was that good. In fact, I enjoyed her LITTLE THINGS much more. Wilson will be nominated, as will Ziemba. The other 3 will most likely be some combination of Cortez, Orfeh, Luker, Keenan-Bolger, and Davie. Daphne Ruben-Vega will NOT be getting a nomination this time around. Especially after Lea Solonga comes in as her replacement and blows everyone out of the water.
EDIT: Not saying that this is even a possibility, but just pointing out that nobody has even mentioned Heather Laws for Company as an idea. I think that she stood out more than Walsh did.

Mary Louise Wilson
Rebecca Luker
Barbara Walsh/Heather Laws
Karen Ziemba
Linda Balgord/Orfeh/Capathia Jenkins
Are my educated guesses, based solely on speculation. I'd personally give Walsh's spot over to Laws (anyone who can sing a patter song at that tempo deserves a nod). I'd also give the last spot to Capathia, just because.
Nobody in Chorus Line stood out, nobody in Les Miz stood out. The former show had good cast members, but not great performers. The latter show had utterly unmemorable ones.

i kind of liked it. it was very different than other people would have done it I think. simple... earthy? I dont know how to describe it haha. Anyways no one else seems to be mentioning her so I guess it's not really a chance. It's too bad there are no ensemble tonys (unless I'm forgetting something) because the ladies as a group are a force!
