Oh, My god...first Xanadu, now this-the two shows that I loved the most in the past year! This is soo depresing!!!
THis is so sad, I wish it had a longer life, its a very funny show and to me was very inspiring-well it was still nice to be able to see it twice, I hope I can go back for a third time!

YOU STOLE MY SIGNATURE!!!!!!!!!
F*CK F*CK FU**CK! THis Fukin ruined my night!!!!!!!!!!
Crap, I haven't seen it yet. I'd better get on that.
Very sad, not just because it's closing on Broadway, but because it could have run forever off Broadway. A miscalculation on the part of the producers. The money they spent could have kept this talented cast employed for a year or two (maybe more) in a smaller house. Something tells me these people won't be unemployed for long, however. Au revoir, tos.

Okay, I'm sorry. I am just happy that a new show can finally have a theatre. It had a good run, and I am happy for all of the performers. Sorry to all you tossers!!!
{tos}, while admittedly a transfer, is considered a new show and only opened this past summer. You act as if it has been in the Lyceum for 10 years, not giving opportunities to other shows. By this logic, every show should close within 4 months to make way for new shows.
Can Susan be the next Velma Von Tussle? She'd be fierce.
Heidi would be so cute as Gloria in Boeing Boeing or Kate Monster in Ave Q.
Ugggh...I saw it coming, but I'm still so devastated right now. Just got my tickets after getting my Xanadu tickets yesterday...my two favorite shows on Broadway closing in one day is going to be hard. Well, nine people's favorite thing, I guess...
eta: Does this mean Hunter can play the Piragua Guy now?

I just didn't feel that the show was fit for a broadway house. As others have said, it would have had a verryy long run if it had stayed off broadway. I just didn't think it was broadway ready, and needed to close.

I haven't seen the show yet, but I just bought my balcony seat for the closing show at 7:30. Xanadu at 3 and tos at 7:30. It's going to be a crazy day.
I'm going to try to see title of show next week... I need to see it. I'm sure I'll love it and will be happy to see the last show.
I'm glad it's had a longer run than many people thought it would though..
Heidi as Gloria would be great!
October 12 will be a sad day
I will be there for the closing of Xanadu
and now [title of show]

no surprise.
it should've stayed off-broadway where it belonged.

Life, it do go on.
Good for them for actually getting to the big time.
I have to echo the posters who have already said how lucky we are this show transferred at all, and that some people got to share in it, instead of none! This show will forever now be part of Broadway history.

So I guess the last performance of [tos] will be the 7:00 one? What a wretched thought -- two funerals in one day!!!!!

People keep saying the show would have run longer off-bway but the truth of the matter is the show NEEDED to open on bway to finish its journey. Michael Beresse has stated it that the major goal the entire time for the cast was to open on broadway. They could have run forever off-bway, but it wouldn't be the same show.
I'm so glad that I have tickets to see this on Sunday. I would have been heartbroken if I didn't get there before it closed.
I'm so glad I was able to see it a couple of weeks ago, it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had in the theater. I'm not suprised its closing, but its too bad.
omg seriously i just saw like a second ago. im like sooo paler than usual and im just frozen. im seriously going to cry. i mean what the hell everyone loves it and wanted it to come on broadway and then everyones ignoring it!!!

wow this sucks so bad!! i want to wrap the cast up in my arms and give them a big "it's gonna be okay" hug.
Noooooooooooooooo!!! I wanted to see it for my birthday in December!!
Why, God?!
It's a shame, it was a really cute and fun show and you can tell that their blood, sweat, and tears really went into it. But even though they didn't have a Phantom type of run, the fact that they even got to have their dream of going to Broadway realized is an accomplishment that not many people get to experience. And while it technically will be considered a flop it had a longer run than they thought it probably would and has achieved a "cult" status among its fans. That's definitely something to be proud of and they'll still be eligible for Tony noms, so the journey may not be over for them just yet!
