Posted: 2/18/13 at 10:51amCertainly PASSION and LAST FIVE YEARS are on the list. But there's a ton! Is it just me, or is the Off-Broadway scene getting better than the On-Broadway one?

I'm not sure if its running through March or not, but you shouldn't miss THE GOOD PERSON OF SZECHUAN at La Mama with the great Taylor Mac leading a wonderful supporting cast that includes Annie Golden and Lisa Kron.
Even if you think you don't like Brecht, trust me...you'll like this.

Why? Was it written by somebody else or is it a completely different play that happens to have the same title?

Borstalboy- unfortunately, it's closing this Sunday. A shame, too. It is really a fantastic, fantastic production that deserves to be seen by more people. It is easily the best production of a Brecht piece to come along in a very, very long time- and I doubt it will be topped anytime soon.
Matt, what he means is that it's... well, different than the typical self-important, overly dramatic Brecht productions that pop up so frequently.

Posted: 3/3/13 at 3:51pmThe Revisionist. You don't get to see an actor like Vanessa Redgrave every day, or every year for that matter, or in such close quarters. Jump at it.

Yes, see THE REVISIONIST. You'll be able to tell your grandchildren you actually saw Vanessa Redgrave perform on stage and the play is pretty good too.
