And he was probably one of about only 5 people who actually paid for it.

Look all I did is answer the post. I'm sorry if it (and it obviously did) offend you all so much. And the monitary amounts were to simplify my point. I didn't actually make it to Bobby Boland (to my dismay) cause I love aweful theatre (saw DOTV twice) BUT it was the producer that pulled the plug in previews that agreed she wasn't right for Bway.

OK.. well at least you are honest. But I still think that to *actually* suggest someone NOT be on Broadway.. you should have at least SEEN them on stage.
Or I could be crazy...

Why did you say that Farrah Fawcett doesn't belong on Broadway then?
Why did you say you paid $100 to see 'Bobbi Boland'?

Some people did pay $100 to see her forget her lines, forget her husband's name (in the show)AND more importantly the producer lost a couple million dollars to take her off Bway before she even opened. I think that I can say without hesitation she doesn't belong there.

I think you *might* be able to say the SHOW didn't belong on Broadway.
That would be like us saying that based on what you've written, we don't think *you* should be on a message board written in english. And we would at least have *seen* your typing..
But we aren't like that here... are we?

People who shouldn't be on broadway: The guy who plays the fork in Beauty And The Beast....seriously.. he was so bad I was distracted.

Really? I thought the fork was quite thrilling! Nothing like dancing prongs to brighten my mood. The hula-looking broom however: what a tramp! She should've been with a circus poop cleaner, not sweeping the palace.

My vote goes to Ashley Judd. Her Maggie the Cat is one of the worst performances I've seen on Broadway. Go back to the movies, honey.

Jenna Elfman. But, I don't think she was on broadway yet. Oh anyway, the casting director of Nine who originally had her in the replacement cast.

I know its not nice to down anybody on Broadway because like Joizey said- they are all there for some reason. You got to have talent to be under the lights of Broadway. But why the hell did Melanie Griffith have to step into those lights?

this goes to joizey, some people (like elphie said melanie griffith) dont have talent. and like musicalcomedyman said, when your paying that much to see them. you have every right to criticize them. Nobody knows why they're casted. nobody knows what made them think they could do it. but there are actors who just plain suck.

Melanie got to kill two birds with one stone. She made her Broadway debut and got to keep an eye on her hubby across the street. All kidding aside, I loved Melanie Griffin in "Working Girl" and she brought the crowds in to Chicago.
