This bittersweet comedy is the story of the indomitable Fanny Brice, a girl from the Lower East Side who dreamed of a life on the stage. Everyone told her she'd never be a star, but then something funny happened-she became one of the most beloved performers in history, shining brighter than the brightest lights of Broadway.

The original production of Funny Girl premiered on Broadway in 1964 starring Barbra Streisand as 'Fanny Brice' and was nominated for eight Tony Awards including Best Musical.

Unless I’m missing it but I don’t think tickets are on sale ? Or maybe Telecharge stopped ticket sales. I really didn’t take notice until now. But Telecharge do

Was right about Kimberly Akimbo moving to Broadway this fall. The notice said a Shubert theatre and the Booth is a Shubert theatre. Unless this was a lucky guess, I’m inclined to trust the info troynow has.

PLAZA SUITE Previews  Feb 24 2022, 04:52:21 AM

I’ll be seeing this in May and looking forward to it! I’m not seeing it for who’s in it. I’m seeing it for the play itself.

THE MUSIC MAN Reviews  Feb 22 2022, 07:10:08 AM

Outside of ticket holders returning tickets, are additional tickets released closer to performance date? I swapped my Little Shop ticket for May so a friend could come with and looking for a new show to see in March. But right now the only tickets available are well outside of what I can afford.

Bag policy Broadway show  Feb 21 2022, 09:28:17 AM

I always take a bookbag and haven’t had issues. The worst I’ve experienced was security asking me to toss my water bottle which was odd.

Hadestown tour questions.  Feb 20 2022, 10:11:42 PM

Finally saw the tour this afternoon. Hadestown was the last show I saw in NYC before covid shut everything down and I’m happy it was my first show back to theatre.

Here’s some thoughts:

Morgan. LOVED HER. She was an amazing Eurydice! I feel like she was a bit shy at the beginning (?) where as Eva is bold from the start. But really loved Morgan’s Eurydice. She really made the character her own. I think she acted more than Eva. Eva sings beautifully but she

Why are DEH Tickets So Cheap?  Feb 18 2022, 05:01:19 PM

My friend and I saw front row at DEH and paid $99 plus fees. This was a few weeks after Ben P left. At the time, they were the cheapest seats in the theatre. Not awful, but I would not recommend.
