Oh wow! Jordan's last performance is this Sunday! Am glad I was able to see him perform back in December.

Would LOVE to see Ben Levi Ross in this again. Saw him twice on tour and he is far and away my favorite Evan!!! I'll be in the city May 12-16. I would assume that would still be part of his "Spring" run. I don't have a show booked for Sunday yet that weekend. I know we can't tell for sure, but do alternate Evans typically perform Sunday matinees or Sunday evenings?

Does anyone know if Jordan has been back this week? I'm debating buying tickets for tonight vs. Sunday night, but think Sunday would be a surer shot at seeing him.

This article was so unhinged could’ve been a lot less confusing. Seems like they don’t have specific dates yet for Ben Levi Ross.

The role of Evan Hansen is the new Elphaba. A role and a score that just shreds voices and keeps it moving. Composers keep writing those bombastic pop songs that no one can continually sing live. Idina still has trouble with the money notes from Wicked and Frozen when she performs live. Sadly she's tied to those songs and audiences want to hear them every time she performs.

Glad I wasn't the only one confused. I've given up on seeing Jordan at this point but I'm interested in seeing Ben Levi Ross. Hopefully they announce his actual dates soon.

Is it safe to assume Fisher is leaving the role earlier than intended, and that's why they're puzzle-piecing together 3 more Evans until the end of the summer? Definitely trying to distract from it with the odd showcase of "diversity casting", but I guess the movie pretty severely damaged the brand so they're trying everything.Very odd for a show that had none, and then one person of color for years. Guess progress is progress? Just feels too little too late at this point.

Jordan and his wife are expecting a baby, right? Maybe he’s leaving (unexpectedly) for family reasons.

I just don't think Jordan could handle the role. How many performances did he miss?

If I remember correctly, Jordan started missing performances after his first week. In fact, I recall him being out for quite a stretch shortly after taking over the role. Yet, there was no announcement or explanation given for his absence.

Yeah, Feb of 2020 he was out for two weeks with no explanation. But, he was doing press for that "Boys" rom com on Netflix. And this time it might have been obligations for his pregnant wife. Or, it's a very hard role vocally and he couldn't handle it 6 times a week.

Fisher may have been contracted to do the show only for this limited amount of time and given the time off he’s taken as part of his contract. As is evident by his replacements, it’s not like they had a big name option to reopen the show, so they may have needed him to respark interest. Regardless of his attendance record, he still is the star of the show and helping with ticket sales.

Did enough people actually even see the movie to hurt the show? I would have seen it in theatres out of curiosity and the free amc stubs ticket, but I completely missed it ever even being released.

Apparently the show had started losing its momentum before the shutdown, and COVID is expediting that trend.

No, I think the movie had no impact at all since it came out during the show's shutdown. I had a few friends that told me now that they saw the movie they have no need to see the stage show, I think it still does resonate with teenagers but the interest is waning a bit based on some dates I looked up.

I don't think I've ever seen a casting announcement list dates for 4 consecutive replacements before. I guess no one has an option to extend their run.

One advantage of announcing the dates of several replacements with short runs is avoiding potential rumors that the reason why each actor was leaving after such a short time was due to not being able to handle the role.

I think it would be interesting to see two former Gavroches in the show. Gaten Matarazzo would be a great Jared and Joshua Colley would be amazing as Evan. Matarazzo, star of "Stranger Things", might be a draw and boost ticket sales. And Colley is just an incredible talent, with a rich singing voice.
