MASQUERADE Previews Thread

They're pulling a mincemeat and announcing 'extensions' for more press and ticket sales. There's no way in **** this can recoup in 5 months and then just close, no way.

I was thinking about flying out of Atlanta to NYC after shaky knees Saturday for the closing show, but looking at these prices I'd rather not violently murder what

This thread is starting to get insane, what the frick.

Any who i'm going to my first music festival on Saturday to see My Chemical Romance. Any tips on how not to screw myself over for 13.5 hours in Atlanta?

I actually like the entire preshow setting, it felt like stepping into another time and feeling like you weren't just in the basement of an nyc theatre on a Wednesday night in the middle of November. I do feel a different space would've done the show a bit better, the august wilson made this show feel

Lauter was originally scheduled to be out Sept 19 & 20. So Merino should be the Emcee those dates. Otherwise, the rest of the run i

I, for once, take back every sappy thing I said about the closing.

yes, I'm sad that it's closing but good lord I'm ready for this production to die.  All the bickering and trash talking and drama is stupid, and I'm ready to leave it in the past. Billy was an awful emcee, but sepsis is no joke, I wish him a speedy recovery and hope that in the time he has now that he'll read over the text and understand the character more.

I'll miss this show, I

I’d be surprised if cogs weren’t turning as soon as he made that TV appearance in that wig.

Gerard way is only busy on saturdays there’s a chance we could get Gerard way emcee

once again i am delusional

Glad to see that grosses will pick a bit before the second week of September! Nice to make a bit of cash after taking so much of a loss!

Wow, we will pretty much know exactly what Billy's worth is with the grosses next week.

Assuming he returns to the show - I mean, I assume he will he is contracted to but this must be extremely difficult for his mental health.

I've never seen a performer that has been so humiliated on Broadway. Beanie comes to mind but

Cabaret Casting Rumor: Orville Peck & Eva Noblezada
 Jul 17 2025, 10:05:39 PM

I think what cabaret needs after this revival is a good, new film adaptation.

perhaps a stop motion animated film in vain of del toro's pinocchio, or a campy b movie like lake michigan monster or hundreds of beavers. Bring some new life to the show after how this transfer crashed and burned.

And no eddie redmayne. please.

I wish his vocals were a tiny bit stronger but the essence of what he does is still there. I really find it hard to understand why everyone seems to hate him in the role. Would you really prefer Eddie R’s boring vocals over this for example? I mean they were fine especially for an actor but Billy is on another level."

Why are a lot of y’all so ****ing negative all the time?

Good show, Bad show, Good singing, Bad singing, it doesn’t matter. The point is you take time out of your day to see something you enjoy, and if it doesn’t resonate with you, that’s cool too!! But I’m not getting up to leave during applause or a blackout just because something is bad.

The only time I’ve wanted to walk out of a show was the non eq tour of Chicago, but I stayed since I val
